I m really pleased with this. I m feeling an europe nobel man in my room.
This takes me back in history... way back to the 1970s! - when David Munrow and his Early Music Consort of London released their seminal three LP boxed set "The Art Of Courtly Love" which actually won a Grammy Award! (First for an Early Music recording I think.) Anyway, on that record are performances by the first countertenor I had ever heard, Mr James Bowman. I strongly suggest you all seek out those recordings and enjoy them; these musicians were breaking ground in Early Music curating, research, and performance and even though Mr Munrow's interpretations are these-days not universally lauded for 'historical accuracy', the music which they made then was evocative, inspired, fascinating, creative and above all, FRESH! I don't think we'd have Jordi Savall, Hesperion XX, and all the other masterful Early Music artists who came after if it hadn't been for this one award winning project: "The Art Of Courtly Love", perhaps the "Sgt Pepper's" of the Early Music oeuvre.
