Ma'am in our Islam, there is Khalifa(Caliph) but he's not above the Islamic law(Sharia) though he's is confined to the book of Allah(Quran) and the sayings and doings of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W(Hadith) that he has to act accordingly. So there's a big difference between the other religious scriptures and Islam.
