Nearly all the comments I read are about Hope being portrayed as a weak character but strongest alive in The Originals but I think it’s mainly Hope trying to teach the twins offensive magic and trying to form a bond with them. Love this show. I like how they are bringing in more than just vampires, witches, and werewolves. You sort of see this in the last season of TVD when they bring in the sirens. I really hope Legacies connects the knife to something that happened in TVD or TO. Plus the harmony between Lizzi, Hope, and Josie, just love it!

Klaus john12 Another thing I’ve noticed is that with each episode, the characters bond closer and their relationships grow. I think hope, lizzie and josie are all closer now from the start, and the show is initiating character development which is excellent.

Wazza 123 and the fact that they’re only teens , yeah tvd were too but in a way they were older and living in reality without all this , so they didn’t know , until Elena and Caroline Matt and jer and Bonnie were brought into it . But these are supernatural teens that Alaric and the teachers are trying to help raise be better than their parents, and the parents agree 🤷🏾‍♀️ like Alaric said at the end of tvd and originals . So I understand the new story plots , plus we’ve seen it all already ! Bringing back from the dead , all of it ! Gave us something new that fits in with these teens ! They’re younger than Elena and the team were when they first started anyway !

Amennnn!!!! I can't wait to learn more about the history of the knife and where all these new mythical creatures are coming from. Not only that but i'm really excited to learn what Landon finally is. I want something in this series to counter against Hope being a tribrid and I hope that Landon is that counter part of her being a tribrid. Also, yes this show is totally different from TVD and TO but still has such great potential. You can see how each of the children show and resemble their parents. The actress for Hope, Danielle Russell, is such a prime example of great casting! She is literally the daughter of Hayley and Klaus. Her temper is exactly the same as her fathers. Her expressions and the way she acts when she's hurt is exactly the way Klaus would act. She also has similar traits to Hayley and its amazing to see her portray Hope in such a way we actually see the parents. Lizzie and Josie are so similar to their parents is so freaking amazing. Lizzie is Caroline in many ways and Josie takes after Alaric.

@@tamiciaw8076 From what I observe in the previews episodes of the show, TVD and TO, I think they have magic of thier own not as powerful yes thats true, but theoretically if they can siphon beings and objects' magic, used it to defeat their opponent then they can be powerful on their own right too. They just need a lot of experience, knowledge and growing up (teenagers* 😅). Hey, if they can be like Kai a siphoner like them who killed an entire coven and his own too then its just an endless possibility on what the twins can do. (P.S. Im not saying they should be like Kai in a sociopath way).

@@ankur9829 it can be normal vampires that feed on them and healed them then something probably happend within the time span of the blood being in their system and we don't know what the writers are going to do with the show maybe their trying something different i haven't seen the show just preveiws and short trailers but from what i get from it all these different creatures every week was after one thing the knife and maybe later down in the season we can find out what's so special about it technically they did the same thing with the 4th season of the originals all we heard about was the hollow and we didn't get her backstory until halfway through the season so maybe its like that

First off all Lizzie and Jossie are from Gemini Coven so it wouldn't be strange if they have this power from their family, but heretics and Gemini Coven wasn't siphoners. They've got her personal magic strenght. Jossie and Lizzie are siphoners like Kay, twin brother of their mother. He was the first creature with this kind of power. When Caroline was pregnant girls were feeding on her vampirism. And it's not true that in TVD witches cast the spells only by looking. Every witch in TVD or TO take a hand to connection every creature which power she need. Jossie and Lizzie as children also takes Bonnie's hands to cast a spell and get out of burning house after explosion on Caroline and Stefan wedding day. And in last episode Bonnie take hands aunt sisters from her bloodline to save Mystic Falls from hell's flames.

So many comments about the twins helping Hope, or not helping her since they’re using her power. I get that, but I also remember that when Bonnie tapped into too much of her power in the first few seasons of TVD, there was a price, nosebleeds fainting and of course the risk of tapping into the 100 witches power to kill Klaus in season 2 would kill her. So I think this is the way Hope is keeping from tapping into too much power on her own to kill these things since the twins are sharing her power. Just a theory I’ve been thinking about.

Anybody else realize they are MAGIC SIPHONS, and can siphon the magic out of the spider lul or even the gargoyle last episode if Lizzy placed a single hand on that she could probably incapacitate it and drain it until its death...this can be seen when multiple times in the vampire diaries when Kai threatens to siphon Stefan, Damon, and even a witch in Bonnie to death

Syphoning isnt immediate, it takes at least a few minutes and do you see how big and dangerous that thing is? They have to approach it to be able to touch it. All it takes is one bite and their insides is black gunk
