omg did anyone else notice towards the middle to the end of Hayleys letter she is talking about her and Klaus one night stand...and how she wouldn't change a thing, also I feel for Klaus so hard this episode.He came back and spent all that time looking for Hayley only to have her burn up in flames in front of him. And when Klaus told her they should stop FaceTiming she told him she wouldn't give up and he just hung up the phone, but she STILL tried to keep him updated on everything by sending him a whole bunch of letters!!! and he got them, he always got them, but then he never read them he just always sent them back. he was so shocked when he found the box meaning she kept all the letters instead of throwing them away. Hayley is a great fucking mom and DID NOT deserve to die. I wish we got him reading all the letters

i'm happy to see that that moment touched sooo many people (i have seen it in so many threads), that was one of the best scenes for me.. would have been better if it wasn't followed by Hayley's demise and if it was just with him getting back his memories.. The demise was just too big a scar to character..

@@091696g ik what you mean I never watched the other shows linked to this series but when I saw the trailer of Elijah meeting Hayley I saw the connection and watched the show cause of them to I was heartbroken and the whole Hayley and Elijah start left a little bad taste in my mouth but I wouldn’t have minded a show with him as the mc it could have worked maybe him watching over hope and doing his own things I don’t see him finding another person to love though I think Hayley was his soulmate their connection was the best I will say though I would have loved if Elijah had a kid with Hayley or even if hope was his kid I wouldn’t have minded it Elijah was my favorite character and next was Hayley since I loved them together

This was terribly sad, yet beautiful too. The music is so haunting. I loved this episode so much, even if it made me cry. In this scene it wasn't just Klaus reading the letter and crying that got me, but Elijah suiting up too, because it's a symbol - not only that he's back to his old self (which I'm so happy about) but also the tragic part of it - that he will hide his strong emotions again and won't break down like he did in the church - because Suit!Elijah doesn't do that.

I can’t even begin to imagine what Elijah must be going through while he visited the bayou which was full of Hayley’s memories. He couldn’t even meet her one last time. The last time he properly met her was 7 years ago. It would have been a little less emotional if Hayley died in Elijah’s arms slowly and calmly. Still it would have been very emotional.
