mate he really was unbelievable the man sacrificed his body and legs by pressing every single game till he was exhausted. played injured pretty much every year. without rooney pressing running channels, making opposition players work the full 90 minutes, without him doing that people like ronaldo wouldnt of done nearly as well. I genuinely think that Benzema and Rooney would both have another 100 goals on their career tallies if they hadn't played with Ronaldo. Obviously it goes both ways because you would argue that they wouldn't have the same sort of trophy cabinets, but it's still quite a mad thing to say about one of the best wide players of all-time, usually you'd say the opposite.

Wazza was like if its good for the team its good for me, i think nowadays most are only thinking about themselves and they sign for the club most likely to benefit them.

How good was Rooney bursting into the scene. Rare football fans from all around the country just discussing how good this guy was, how at 16 he played like a full grown man. Great memories, always got time for Rooney. A proper footballer.

You can tell how he slotted in so well at Man United with Keano and Nev etc. They are very humble guys and come off very down to earth albeit amazing players for a great team
