I'm very glad that someone else had the same experience with that god-awful revolver that I did. You can press X to cock the hammer. It doesn't help.

The Revolver is an amazing gun, cocking the hammer does actually make it way better seriously i can headshot people from 50 metres away with ease with that gun, it's all about cocking and aiming, naturally the sights of the revolver are set too low so if you aim so you can just see the top of his helmet over your barrel you will get good shots and good kills.

Yeah I've used it a lot since then and I dig it for tunnel ratting. However in any other situation if you hit non-vital on your first shot you have no hope of an accurate follow up, and there's a pretty high chance of that because the .38 does less damage than the M1911, which is semi-auto, pretty accurate and always available. And I mean when you put them next to the Browning HP both of them are kinda shite

It makes a big difference if you cock it or not, it's still bad but not nearly as bad. I remember once killing a Scout pilot from 60/70m flying towards me shooting at me, before I knew you had to cock it. That was one hell of a shootout.

And since most Japanese scream sound in RS 1 had japanese voice acting in them,Tripwire only recycled some of them...then you'd have to heard the same scream over and over again in RS2. It's actually funny rather than traumatic to me.

the server that runs the moon map also has a mod for buggy M113 APCs. They also get affected by the gravity so you'll occasionally see one floating across the map if you look up

I don't think a lot of people realize that the revolver has a short barrel and uses a heavy slow .45 round like the full sized 1911 so the bullet drop is significant at range. Much more than the 1911. Not a lot of people seem familiar with the way double actions shoot so unless you've fired any of these type of handguns in real life it might be a little difficult to comprehend at first.
