Thank you so much for this video. I watched it because I love the look of these flowers but then I realised I actually have that flower die, I bought it ages ago used it once and was a bit disappointed with it but I only layered about 3-4 flowers. I noticed you used like 15 and they look great!! Also thanks for showing your techniques on stamping the backgrounds and making the petals scrunchy. I need to dig out this die and have another play now. Also I have been watching junk journal videos for the past year and have only just discovered you. I love your style and am looking forward to your Etsy shop re-opening this year.

Michelle I had an idea to share with these flowers, get the brown grocery bags and take apart and use the inside,tape flat to your table and stamp it like crazy with brown archival ink,using various stamp shapes etc. Then cut to fit the die. Cut many many flowers to layer and do your magic with tools. Use ink to touch edge of flowers, to age them. I like the grocery paper bag, because it is fairly thick paper. You could even emboss a couple flower shapes also. Joyce

I made some out of light-weight lunch bags but they were totally ugly. I also tried baking parchment & holtz tissue & they were ugly too. I don't if you're a Brit or Australian but I couldn't find any description of the black series kraft pad you used. I have 65 lb kraft cardstock. Is that too heavy?
@ThePaperAddiction10 жыл бұрын
The kraft card stock i used was heavier weight - I have made them with the graphic 45 card and I find that weight really good to work with. Hope that helps. xx Michelle
@aussiegal2210 жыл бұрын
I hope you do not mind me butting in here, but I don;t really think it's about the brand of paper, but more how the paper has been finished. The paper that is used int he video above is of a brittle consistancy, You could try 200gsm white card stock or even Photo copy paper (but this will be more fragile so you will need to be more gental), that has been given the aged look by placing it in Coffee or tea dyed warm water and then hung to dry for a few days. This dying and drying will give it the brittle effect you are looking for to start making the flowers above. Hope this helps :)
@tgrimes967 жыл бұрын
Michelle, I love your channel! What are the patterned stamps that you use for texture? I can't seem to find any? But it makes the flower so much prettier!
