This song is every sunset I've ever danced in, everyone I've ever loved, every time my bare feet touched blades of grass, every night I've fallen asleep smiling. It tugs at my chest and pulls me towards joyful memories and the promise of tomorrow. Thanks, paper kites.

I'm the queen of single! I've been single since birth and I'm pretty, I know cause new guys slide into my dms at least 4 times a week. I just haven't met a man that doesn't make me feel like I have to defend myself and my peace. Does anyone understand that? 😄 I've built an environment of love, peace and happiness within myself and I'd hate for anyone to come ruin that for me. I feel safer single but it gets a little lonely sometimes

16 years ago I was working in California 3000 miles from my east coast home. I met a girl who was hired to help out at the location I was in charge of setting up. We were working long hours so I bought everyone pizza to boost morale. We became friends and I finished my job and went back to the east coast. She went on to become the store manager. We kept in touch and almost a year later she came to visit me. We had a spark and a month later I went to visit her too. 3 months later she relocated and we moved in together. 16 years later, we are married and our 4th child just turned 8, and we can't remember what life was like before all this. Life is full of joy and sorrow, struggles and grace, big and small surprises. Sometimes I forget the many blessings I've been given. Sometimes I feel like everything is connected and other times like I'm floating in every random direction. But she has become my cornerstone, my foundation of which this life we built together rests on, and I couldn't imagine it any other way.

In January of 2018 my 21 year old son got in a car accident. He had severe brain damage. We weren't able to talk to him or touch him for about a month and a half because it might stimulate his brain and cause more injury. I would softly sing or hum this song around him to keep us both at peace. It would calm him down. Two months later we lost him. We had this song at his funeral and we played it at a one year get together. I would really love this group to know how special this song is for me and my family. I rarely listen to it but yesterday at Thanksgiving my youngest song played this on his guitar. RIP Tyler

This was the song my husband and I were listening to when we told each other "i love you" for the first time nearly a decade ago. 2 years ago, I walked down the aisle at our wedding to a live rendition of it and watched him cry tears of joy while we said our vows. Now, we're buying our first home together. This song came on just as we were pulling up the driveway to the house - a cute little 1941 cape cod - for the showing. Old, tall shade trees danced in the wind and a breeze belw through the window right as the chorus started. The house waited for us at the end of the driveway, in the midst of a clearing amongst lush greenery. We looked at each other and knew that this house was meant to be ours. We placed an offer that day and are closing on it in 2.5 weeks. We've been packing up our belongings into moving boxes and rehabbing thrift store furniture for the new house with this song playing in the background for the last several weeks. There's something really special about this song. It always coincides with life's best moments for us.

Listening to this right now with the love of my life. We met online, forced to be in a long distance relationship for years, the pandemic happened- but now, I am sitting here with him on my side and we’re both listening to this. No more flying back and forth we already closed the gap and can now start a life we always wanted to have. 💜✨

After seeing all the comments about how this song reminds people of a moment shared with a soulmate (platonic/romantic), I tried to remember the last time I felt this way about/with someone. I couldn’t think of anyone. The reason I can’t think of anyone is because lately, I’ve been having song moments like these with myself. After a long self love journey and coming out the other side, I am finally embodying the unconditional love I have always searched for in another person. I finally see myself as my own soulmate and the one I want to have all these moments with.

What a beautiful song with such beautiful words. I first heard Kelly Clarkson sing this on her show and had to hear the original. It reminds me of my wife and I whom we first met 52 years ago. A lot of time has passed, we now have much more sand on the bottom of our hour glass but, I'm glad it worked out like it has, with no regrets. I wish everyone the joy we've had.

@@ethanstewart2116 so odd this phenomenon. Can you imagine looking at ants 🐜 from above and some will choose to be with just one other ant. When I'm in bed with headphones on with my eyes closed all of a sudden I'm transported to chill with the sunset shining over me and my friends just sitting there smiling and laughing. The grass is soft and the clouds are few but just enough of them to make it feel warm and breezy. The air is cool and refreshing my feet are touching the soft grass and I'm here with the people I find important.

One day a girl and I were both writers but lived very far away from one another, we’d send each other our works, critique, compliment and at times edit each others works. She told me one day this was her favorite band and that I should listen to them, this song specifically was her favorite at the time. We spoke day and night for what seemed like ages and we spoke as if we’d known each other for life times, one day we had sent what would be our final pieces to one another and it turned out we’d used this song as an inspiration. We were both speechless but also we both had written something remarkable for one another, she disappeared shortly there after, she took down her social medias and just vanished. I do wonder about her from time to time, but this song is just so beautiful to not listen to.

thejelenasaurus It's still fairly popular, although I agree that its not "pop" music like anyone on the Grammy's(I hate that music by the way). The thing is, I listen to plenty of bands that barely get 2,000 views, but are still VERY good. THOSE are underrated, compared to this video which has a ton of views, probably because they got some sort of advertisement or distributor/publishing company.
