On the back you could use one of the white layers removed from a decorative napkin.

Anyone who uses napkins for decoupage has the white layers we peel off. This is an excellent use for those leftovers. And, bless you for saying out loud that not everything we put into our journals has to have a writing space. The purpose of some additions is simply to add beauty. Missed hearing Holly today but the love birds provided a lovely accompaniment. ~ Lisa

You're killing me! I've been cleaning out my house over the past couple of months to sell it and as soon as I decide to throw something away, you do a video about that very piece of "junk". Me: I'll never do anything with these old books (tosses them into the trash); Pam: Look at what we can do with old books today! Me: (after sorting through 3 boxes of games and toys) There are still five cards missing from this deck (tosses them into the trash); Pam: Look at what we can do with playing cards today! This is a great project for an incomplete deck! Like I said, you're killing me! 😄

Pam these are so stinking pretty. I have to make some of them. I saw a set of them made with the Alice Through the Looking Glass theme that were just darling. Also love, love, love the pink flowers you used on one of them I was just emptying a box in my bedroom and came across some playing cards that my friends and myself had left over when we merged two decks to make a Penichole deck out of used cards we got from our local Cassino. I've been seeing these used in many crafts so they went into my craft supplies. Yeah !!! Would a nail kit with the different grits work just as good as a sanding block for getting rid of gloss finishes ?
