Grew up and live in Western New York i was so blessed to be able to listen to both American and Canadian music growing up in the 80's!! Seriously, most Americans do not know what music treasures Canada put out from the 70's throught the 90's! I am thinking of posting alot of Canadian bands with thier songs on FB so that other Americans, like my southern cousins, can hear what Canada put out then. Canadian rock and pop was so unique and distinct from mainstream American stuff. The Partland Brothers are no exception, they are Canadian through and through.

This song is part of a VERY Happy Coincidence: In 1986, I started a new job that required a lot of travel, though pretty much all within the State of Indiana. One of the first assignments I received was in Tell City, ~halfway between Louisville, Kentucky and Evansville, Indiana. This song was on the radio a lot at the time. From the first time I heard it, I LOVED this song. Thus, while driving, I sang it along, many times. Thankfully, no one was ever in the car with me. LOL I had been long-term unemployed and was just SO Happy to be working again. This was my fourth job, but it was the first that I thought I could make a Career out of. Unfortunately, certain "things" happened and I wound up leaving (voluntarily). I had a Good Run, ~six years, second longest time I stayed anywhere. And this song reminds me of one of the best assignments during one of my favorite jobs in my ten-job career. Thank you for a GREAT Song, Gentlemen!
