57:41 Subhan Allah, before I started practicing more my religion and taking it seriously, and learning Quran and some surahs, I sometimes had very ugly dreams where I saw shayateen around me. And no matter how many times I said “A’uthu billahi min ash-shaytan ar-rajeem” they never left. It was very scary. Until one day, when I had it again but this time I was prepared. My imaan has grown since then al hamdoulillah. I learned surat Al Mulk. So as these ugly things (I say ugly because of their nature, but I don’t remember them having faces, they were just like evil souls) were annoying me and literally bullying me, I was like (in the dream): “Wait a minute! I know surat Al Mulk now!” So I started reciting, and as I got to the aya that said: “And We have certainly beautified the nearest heaven with stars and have made [from] them what is thrown at the devils and have prepared for them the punishment of the Blaze.” I was pointing at them with an accusatory finger and they were cowering in fear from the words of Allah. That day, I woke up in a good mood and I was like “Al hamdoulillah that I was able to overcome them this time!” And they never bothered me again since that day. Before sleeping I say my sleeping dua and shahada and sleep. Al hamdoulillah I’ve been sleeping well.

Summary: Many people put to much put emphasis on Qadr and Qada to the extent that they don’t feel like they need to take a course of action to change their situation. True reliance, tawakul on Allah is when you put your trust in Allah and take the measures (actions) to improve a matter, i.e. seeking knowledge, and advice, changing your diet and physical activity etc. THE FOLLOWING PLAY A ROLE IN QADR: Causations: The actions of people that cause something to happen. Precautions: Is the measure taken in advance to prevent something from happening, particularly something dangerous, unpleasant, or inconvenient. Decision making: the process of making decisions often based on your knowledge and life experience. It involves identifying a decision, gathering information, and assessing an alternative resolution, which leads to action. Actions: The process of doing something. Tawakal: Is the concept of putting your trust in Allah, “Gods Plan”. Duas: Praying to Allah and confiding in Allah, seeking support, and establishing a connection with Allah. If everything is written and decided why do we have to call upon Allah (dua)?
Allah has written both things, including what is going to happen to you and that you also prayed to Allah. Allah is all-knowing, he knows the future, and just because he is aware of the future that doesn’t mean that he controls our behaviours. We have free will and full control over our actions. For example, it's like watching a movie you know what happened to the character in the movie but did you make the character do something, the answer is no. Similarly, Allah does not decide our actions, it is all from us. Furthermore, Dua has benefits everything in your life, in matters that have already happened and in matters yet to happen. It has an influence on predestination, nothing increases in your age, except when you do good onto others, especially your parents. There is a hadith that mentions people who are good to their parents and connect their family ties, their life and provision expands. Nothing can repel predestination except dua. Sometimes our duas are not responded to immediately, or experienced in this life. Everything that happens is out of our best interest, for Allah is all-knowing and wise. In the end, Allah does not disappoint us, he will respond to us on the day of judgment with a reward even greater than what we ever wished when it all matters then.
