Pat's rant about the Colts proves a point. If your team misses the playoffs it gets worse the longer they last before getting eliminated. If they suck from day one, it isn't fun, but by the end of the season you're thinking about the draft and the offseason. But if they are close enough that you think they SHOULD have made the playoffs that angers you all the more. You almost feel swindled for having gotten your hopes up and investing time in following them all year.

As a Baltimore resident who witnessed one of the great legacy NFL teams steal away into the dead of the night taking not only the team but the name, the legacy and the history with them; I have absolutely no sympathy for the Colts current situation.
