In this video i disassembled a Lenovo IdeaPad 110 Series Laptop - build in 2017 (Model name in this video: Ideapad 110-15ISK Typ: 80UD, MTM: 80UD0086GE).

If your HDD is working properly you could also change it for a SATA 3 SSD like shown in this video, uninstall the DVD drive and install the HDD in the optical bay with a 9.5mm caddy. This way you will get the speed the SSD and the cheap space of the HDD.

The RAM frequency on the Task Manager is 2133MHz but you added 2400Mhz is that still acceptable for normal function of the laptop ? And on the lenovo website they say the max RAM you can add is 4Gb and you added 8 Gb , whats happening ?

Some RAM can vary their Frecuency (Hz) to adapt to the lowest compatible frecuency within a PC or laptop (or maximum in some cases). With the size difference, safely check your upgradeability on Crucial.com (and if in doubt, just get the max ram recomended by the manufacturer). it says it accept a single 8 GB RAM module @ DDR4-2133 MHz, according to this info: download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles_pub/ideapad_110-14_15isk_hmm_201607.pdf

He didn’t remove the battery connector which is in under the keyboard. He had to remove it later which is very risky because the connector is fragile.

Yes, the batery conector is the black one that he unplug. But in other videos people unplug 2 more cables that i think that they are unnecesary

to see the RAM Frequency you will be using, just open the ''task manager'', go to "performance" and open the Memory tab. This will show how much your computer uses. After that, you can type "Crucial Scan" on Google and download the app from their official website. The program will scan your computer and find the correct SSD and memory expansion. That you can buy on their website but it is a little expensive. my advise is to you only get to know what is the best combination that your computer can use and then buy from another website. Hi, I am having troubles with this notebook by installing a second HDD , the ones that are installed within the CD/DVD drive port. I have installed this kind of things in various other notebooks. The problem I am getting, is that the drive is recognized and can be used... but at terrible speeds. The performance on the second HDD is terrible. I installed an SSD where the original HDD was and the 1TB HDD included in the caddy, what most people tend to do and I am one of them. how can i solve this problem ? tnx a lot

Thank you! I successfully replaced my friends HHD with an SSD following the steps in this video, it was very helpful! Used a cheap #1 screwdriver and it worked. I found that a new credit card was too thick for some of the prying uses, so that may not work if that's all you have (a well worn one like his may work, I ended up finding and using a plastic guitar pick) The only thing I did differently was unplug the battery cable before separating the sides as seen here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oXeQnWSol52Vrqs , and when re-assembling I connected it there as well, not while the sides were separated since someone in the comments here said that was potentially more risky

Apparently the laptop will run at 2133mhz (that is the slower ram) even if you add a 2400 or 2666 mhz ram

Hi, schau am besten mal bei www.crucial.de/compatible-upgrade-for/lenovo/lenovo-v110-14iap da kannst du gut genau dein Modell aufrufen und siehst die Konfiguration die möglich ist. Da sagt er max 12GB (4GB Fixed und 8GB Riegel kannste dazustecken).

Hi, da musst du genau schauen welche Version du hast, schau mal auf ipc-computer.de da kannst du deine EXAKTE Modellnummer eingeben und findest dann die Bauteile, von diesr Oberseite in der das Keyboard eingenietet ist gibt es verschiedene Versionen die alle denke ich so zwischen 70 und 110€ kosten sollten.

ok ideas? when I pull the power cord the laptop shuts down - I thought the battery was bad, so after changing the battery using the video (excellent video BTW) it still shuts off if I pull the power - if I check the battery while it's charging, it says it's 100% full (or will it always so that on AC power?)

Ok - make sure the white dot is facing up when you plug the battery cable in. Also make sure you push it in as far as you can - I used a small flat blade screwdriver to push with. If your battery light is off and the laptop says it’s 255% charged you probably didn’t get the plug correct - so before you put all the screws in - once you connect the battery insert the ac plug and turn it on - check the battery light on the front - it’s the one on the right - not on ... plug most likely isn’t seated correctly or possibly upside down

one trick I used when taking out bottom screws (yes I could have turned the laptop over) I used a magnet to pull the screws out

Excellent, but the connector for the battery is a mechanical practical joke. 🧐 Make sure to remember how to turn the battery connector! ⚠The connector side with the little holes through which one can see the leads goes towards the bottom (i.e. towards the mainboard). And make sure the battery cable fits into the groove meant to hold it.

I dont think you can upgrade the ram to 36gb on this model laptop, as I know the core i5 6200u processor supports max 32gb ram, but if your pc has another processor it might support more ram.

As the operating system, Linux Parrot OS plays on the fact that the computer can handle it best. Tested some Linux systems with him.. Linux Mint, does not recognize the graphics card correctly. Linux MX, too cumbersome. Both systems demand too much of its reserves from the Lenovo ideapad 110. If you want to make Windows 10 up to 10 times faster, you have to change the settings in the BIOS and then reload Windows 10 from a USB stick. But I can only recommend this to someone who is really familiar with the biological systems. (My English is translated by Google for you here ....)

Disassembly and / or use a "air pressure spray" or air pressure. you can get it from a 1/2/3 euro/dollar market (the cheap stores with ....in germany we say tünnef or "kram")

Idk why but this laptop was built in a rather complicated manner, like I’ve got an ASUS laptop of similar specs but that machine is a breeze to disassemble when compared to my sister’s ideapad 110.

Aber ich habe am Ende der Arbeit ein Problem gehabt, das bis jetzt immer noch besteht. Der rote In/Aus-Knopf ganz oben rechts funktioniert nicht mehr und ich muss jedes mal meinen Komputer durch dans kleine loch auf der linken Seite einschalten. Ist das zukorrigieren? @@masmoudifaouzi7168 danke für deine Antwort aber ich habe es dann doch noch geschafft. Bei mir war nur das Problem dass man beim ersten anschalten (also nachdem man den Akku wieder angeschlossen hat) den Power Button sehr lange drücken muss. Also nicht nur lange gedrückt halten sondern bei mir 1 Minute oder so gedrückt halten was eigentlich ungewöhnlich ist und ich es deswegen erst nicht ausprobiert habe. Ansonsten funktioniert jetzt alles wieder einwandfrei. Es kann sein dass dein akkukabel beim rumprobieren vielleicht kaputt gegangen ist wenn du das Problem immernoch hast. Du wirst das Problem bei dir bestimmt auch noch lösen können. Da bin ich mir sicher :)

Hugo Butterlin (METHOD 1) you will have to create bootable USB from another windows computer and boot the computer with the USB and install windows (METHOD 2) make the ssd the same exact copy of the old hard drive if the hard drive is working...I prefer method 1 because it will install a fresh copy of windows.... you can find many tutorials online :)
