I just installed Windows 11 after i updated the bios till Q78 Ver. 01.26.00 After that enabling, Sure Start, Boot mode UEFI. The Machine booted up from the UBS stick automatic, great machine HP.

Hey there, i just bought an HP 255 G8 laptop freedos with Ryzen 5 cpu. For some reason my usb ports are not working (3.2 type), it is like they are not powered up or something. Although in bios settings i see that they are enabled, secure boot is also turned off. The result is that i can not install the windows through booted usb stick. I tested the usb and it works on another laptop. I also tried to update the bios through usb, still could not do that. It indicated that the files were corrupted although i downloaded and installed the right files using the serial number of my laptop. Please let me know what to do, i need it for my uni. It has nvme ssd.

Hi, I am having trouble with 2 HP systems one a wee Desktop I want to put W7 to run Hyperspin but the HP Bios is being a pain it took me ages to get it to even start the installation but I messed about, and I managed to get it to start the install but when I get to the pick the language part the keyboard and mouse won't work I have tried everything from trying USB 2 and 3 keyboards/mouse to again trying all settings in the Bios but with zero luck. The other one I'm not having any luck with is a wee laptop I wanted to W10 when the hard drive broke. When I start to install Windows I get by the language the keyboard works ok on that one but the system doesn't see the new hard drive,what is it with these things I've never had hassle like this just these HP UEFI sure start bios ones. Any Ideas folks Thanks.

Please double-check your secure boot settings as well as the UEFI USB stick that you created. Make sure You have chosen not MBR when you created this installer disk. Hope that would solve the problem and you would subscribe to this channel. Thanks

What if i did secure erase and it always tells me no boot device found? I have a HP Elitebook 8470p and used rufus to make a boot device and just bought a usb with windows 7 today and still get no boot device found? I think i ruined my pc and cant fix it and not sure if im gonna need to get a whole new HDD or even pay a overpriced fee to have someone else fix it which i dont have money for

Kinda funny, i answer my own question, i have UEFI and im trying to start in legacy usb, i did this to several pc's already. Im going from UEFI microsoft to Legacy Linux Mint

I did remove all data for thee UEFI install. You need to clone the drive using a Backup solution, incremental restore the files you need back
