This is actually how I rebooted my PC flipping career after having taken a 12 year break. I just realized one day that my home office closet was full of old PC parts and I decided to build a Frankenstein PC out of the parts. Which I then sold. Man I really love this channel. Always a treat when I see a new upload from you, my man.
@ThePcRehab Жыл бұрын
So funny, that is actually how this channel started. I deep cleaned a old system I had sitting in my closet and ended up giving it to a young guy I met at Best Buy. Thought maybe people would enjoy watching me build PCs and well….here we are hahaha. Hopefully one day I’ll get to do more videos a week. That would be awesome

Just wanted to say that I have watched you sense before the series but I think this series helped you grow. Been here since day one of the series! Keep up the good work, I always look forward to the next episode. I just don't comment that much so if you go through the series I haven't left comments but the videos make my day better.

i just found this channel a couple days ago and have been going through this playlist. it's a lot of fun! i know i'm super late to the party, but scrolling through the comments i saw a handful of people saying you should go with an intel cpu "because they're more stable/reliable." boy howdy, those comments did NOT age well lol. i'm pretty confident intel will bounce back, but i hope this is a lesson to people to not be a default fan of any one company since they've all had issues at one point or another. this stuff is incredibly complex to design & manufacture so it seems inevitable that problems will occasionally arise. looking forward to seeing how the giveaway rig turned out, and then following your current pcbuc content. i appreciate your work, as i enjoy doing the same. thanks for the fun videos, and i hope you and yours are doing well!
@ThePcRehab6 ай бұрын
Thank you for the comment! Haha yeah dodged a bullet with the intel issues for last season, can’t say the same for my current rig, but I have not experienced any crashes and running the latest bios to limit cpu voltage hopefully saved my cpu from any damage. This season is going to be a fun one I just know it. Hope the content always keeps you entertained man!

Oh man! You finally found a use for the spray painted motherboard. I remember when you did that. So cool! I'd say 7800X3D if it's meant to be just a gaming PC. If the goal is a more well-rounded PC, go Intel. Main thing I don't like about 13900kf is the power draw and temps. The 7800X3D is much more gamer-focused.
@ThePcRehab Жыл бұрын
That is very true. I think the audience here is mostly gamers and Amd is winning the vote by a longggggg shot.

I have used a similar CPU cooler in a build i put together for a friend from the same company. Aigo is under the same umbrella as Darkflash, they operate in the same building. They make pretty good cooler, cpu fans, and i heard the power supply's are decent for the price. Great video!

Always a pleasure to see you in my KZbin notifications! ^v^ Having some painful flashbacks to watching you paint that poor motherboard. lol But it seems to be doing okay. I hope nothing bad happens to it in the future. Something just feels so wrong about paint directly on a circuit board (especially that RAM). Lol anyway I already complained about this in the original video enough. lmao Still a great video.

Upgraded from a dead platform 4th gen i7 to an AM4 1700x in 2018. Upgraded that SAME board with the SAME ram and cooler to a 5800X3D. Massive gains on a 6 year old motherboard! That is the best reason to go AM5 this time around especially since we are still on first gen. Not only that, but the 7800X3D is widely considered the best gaming chip, and significantly cheaper than the i9's. Just don't get a budget chipset, the crappy AM4 chipsets did not get support for the later CPUs.
@ThePcRehab Жыл бұрын
I do quite a bit of work with 4th gen Intel chips. They can still get the job done. I love the X3D chips but I run a 5950x on my personal system and have seen no real reason to upgrade my personal rig other then to keep up with generations. But I agree, the 7800x3d is a amazing chip

That's what you consider a small CPU cooler? I ran a 4690k, with max temps of around 60˚c, under a DeepCool Gammaxx-400 and I thought that was a chunky boy. I had my 4690k paired with a GTX970 and it's been the only time I saw near identical CPU and GPU usage, which to be fair was only in the Assassin's Creed Odyssey benchmark. If I can find a PSU for a decent price I might rebuild that old system, I still have all the parts, and give it away to someone who needs it.
@ThePcRehab Жыл бұрын
Haha it’s small by the standards of what the norm is on this channel haha. Usually the coolers I use are massive lol.
@CmndaPnda Жыл бұрын
I probably wouldn't have gone with that cooler due to the weight of it and relying on those horrible plastic push in clips. Still, great to watch. :)
