It sounds a little bit messy when you listen it the first time because of the structure of the song, but it's definitely a grower and now she's in my top 5. I know Nutsa from her performance on The Voice of Turkey and she have the capacity to make to live version of this song even better than the studio version

Excellent reaction. I feel exactly the same about the song. It builds and builds from decent to epic! And it is catchy. I have caught myself waking up in the morning with the melody stuck in my head for no reason. Greatly produced and vocally insane. If it is staged well, it has the potential to be a crowd pleaser

I'm so glad you loved it!! Georgia is my n°1 this year and I think it's severely underrated by the fandom, although it seems to be growing on some people now! I love the structure of this song, it's so impactful, powerful and not predictable at all Nutsa is a great performer, so I have no doubt that with a great staging and choreo, Georgia will definitely be back in the final after 8 years!

The first verse is a slow burner but when she gets to the “higher and higher” at the end of the second verse and the backing melody really kicks in, it’s probably my favourite section of any of this year’s songs, and the climax seems to last until the very end while still building. Love this one!

Can I start by praising the production of the track. Its amazing. I have played this several times since yesterday. I had a similar reaction to the begining, I had Eurovision songs playing on KZbin in the background on my television and each song was good as the preceding one. Hard to pick a winner I thought. This was just as good, but when the second half kicked in, it jumped out of the screen. I got goosebumps too. This could be massive!

Thanks for yet another interesting reaction video. I wish all the jury members could evaluate the songs the way you do - or at least try to. You seem to be judging each song and each vocal performance regardless of your own preferences of musical styles. As a professional you actually pay attention to the details in the composition on a level that is way beyond mine (and most televoters). That is what should be done by any member of a so called professional jury. And watching your videos from the last years and your overall points giving this year, it becomes even clearer that you are open to any genre and any style of music trying to be as objective as possible. But of course, personal taste will also affect your scores (caught....the Nederlands....) - as it also should. If all the members of the juries tried to be as professional as you, I think we would see much more diversity in the jury scores. The juries would also be able to appreciate rock, experimental, forreign languages, less radio friendly entries. I feel that the only criteria that the juries actually do judge rather well is the live vocals. Keep up the good work!

This has all the ingredients to be a song I should love but somehow it just doesn’t quite come together right for me. It’s perfectly fine - but I needed something more from this. I feel it lacks the same thing that was missing from Iru’s Echo. Both are dramatic and well sung songs… but they’re just not catchy enough. Nutsa herself is great but the song itself is unfortunately a little meh.
@joebloggs3969 ай бұрын
Echo was way more generous, great percussion section, great contrast in the verse, superb lead in to the climax. Best Georgian entry. The song this year is way more generic and so is naturally more popular.
@Leifdk19 ай бұрын
@@joebloggs396 To me they have a similar “feel” for the reasons mentioned, like songs in the same genre can have. And Echo despite all its positives - including a stellar performer- did not manage to qualify. I believe the reason for that was the lack of that certain something because the elements did not come together right. I like both songs… just not enough to actively seek them out to listen to them.
@joebloggs3969 ай бұрын
@@Leifdk1 They always struggle to qualify, it's a small country. Qualification is not always an indication of great quality, and there's always at least something which is an undeserved NQ. The lyrics are more generic in Firefighter too and because of that less criticised.
@Leifdk19 ай бұрын
@@joebloggs396 I didn’t think it was deserved - but it happened. Mostly what Nutsa has going for her song is that it’s uptempo. That could help. But the similarities are there in my opinion. Looking at the semi now I think it’s a borderline qualifier. Perhaps rehearsals can change that. You may disagree and that’s fine, it’s just my opinion based on the available data and gut feelings. And it’s not what I want to happen.
@joebloggs3969 ай бұрын
@@Leifdk1 It's largely a one tempo song, the main arrangement development is it adds more towards the end, quite effectively, but that's it. Whether it qualifies or not it's not really that outstanding. It will depend mainly on the vocal.

I had dismissed this as the usual girlie bop with a good looking lady shaking her assets in synchro with her dancers. I still thing it is that, but the vocals are really good and production is not as bad and as trite as it usually is in this genre. Lyrics are unfortunately fairly bad.
