It seems that the SDRUM is back! Digitech lists it on their web page again!!! Maybe there is hope for a firmware upgrade. Here's my wish list: I would like to be able to set an explicit tempo in BPM and to get rid of the annoying random kick and snare hits, at least in simple mode. My third wish would be to be able to adjust the volume of the snare and kick, independent of the rest of the components. Jamsync/clock IN wouldn't be bad either.

Sorry, just saw these replies. I dont use the SDRUM through an amp into a P.A. I ran in into my mixing console in my studio, from there, an EQ, into my Focusrite interface. I dont perform with any drum machine, only live drums for me if any, sometimes I do solo guitar shows. I record demos, and occasionally a track with a drum machine. I dont care for the SDRUM though. Im a rock and blues guy, there doesn't seem to be anything usable in there for me. My Trio is better, but neither compare to my BeatBuddy. For me it's got the best sounds. I just bought the Premium Library as well, and it's got everything Id ever need and more. Im not knocking anything, or unit. We all have different needs and tastes. The pedals here are like comparing oranges to apples. Best of luck to you all.

I just wish that digitech would sit down with singular sound and pay the money because between the two technologies there is the product that we all want. Build/play your own rhythms on the fly with a looper that can sync with other looping tools so the song stays tight for live work then have alongside it loadable songs so you can build a set ... all with drum sounds that sound like drums.

I can't figure out how to clear everything so that I can just start new with nothing in the verse, chorus, or bridge banks. Thanks!
@ThePedalGuy
@ThePedalGuy 4 жыл бұрын
@@jaredgreiff4674 Ok, so what you need to do here is do a factory reset. 1. Unplug the power adapter from the SDRUM. 2. Press and hold the KICK pad, SNARE pad, and ALT (GROOVE/KIT) button, and then plug in the power adapter. 3. Wait for the LEDs to begin circling the HATS/RIDES encoder, then release the buttons. 4. When the LEDs surrounding the HATS/RIDES encoder begin flashing amber, press the HATS/RIDES encoder and wait for the factory reset to complete. The HATS/RIDES LEDs will cycle red, then amber, then green during the reset, and once complete, the SDRUM will return to normal operation. NOTE: If the HATS/RIDES encoder is not pressed, the operation will time out and the factory reset will be cancelled. Pressing any button other than the HATS/RIDES encoder will also cancel the factory reset.

What's the order in the effects chain for the Sdrum if you only a guitar amp? Would the drums get a delay or distorted sound if you have those pedals on
@ThePedalGuy
@ThePedalGuy 5 жыл бұрын
halo1589 thanks for your question. It’s a pretty lengthy answer but here’s the exact text from the owners manual from digitech. This is when you use the amp out only on the SDRUM A mono mix of the guitar and drum signal will be sent to the AMP OUT jack. Complementary equalization will be applied to the drum signal to make it sound better when played through a guitar amp. NOTE: When using a guitar amp to play the drums from the SDRUM, set the amp to run as cleanly as possible in order to avoid distorting the drums. The drums are pre-EQ'd to sound best through a clean amp with "flat" EQ settings. If using guitar effects and/or a looper, they should be placed before the SDRUM when using only the AMP OUT jack.

Just a question ... If i already have a trio+ should I buy a sdrum ???? Thank you for all your precious suggetsions and your passion in sharing your experience !!! (RR form Italy)

Hi Ruggero. Thanks for your question. There's really no need as you won't be able to sync them up. The TRIO is a standalone product.

@@ThePedalGuy Thank you so much ! Keep on going with the great videos your making ! Just one more quetsion about TRIO * : I noted that using a amp teh volume of guitar is very low compared with the Trio+ volume. I guess taht I have to keep the 2 exuits separate sending the trio+ at the mixer and the guitar t othe amp or to a separate channel on the same mixer ... Any suggetsions ??
@ThePedalGuy
@ThePedalGuy 4 жыл бұрын
@@ruggeroromano6028 Thanks for the kind words. Yes, ideally you would want to go from the TRIO to a mixer or PA for the drums&bass and a separate output to the amp for the guitar.

Just found this channel. Lost all my gear in a fire a few years back and trying to get some new gear together. Looking for a stompbox to practice with. Can this go into a Marshall DSL20CR ? (which i am looking to buy).If i use gain it will distort the drums like hell i guess? Thats a problem i had with my old stuff, plus, my Boss DR660 did not have a footswitch to STOP.

n thanks for the question. If you use the gain on your amp to distort it will distort the drums.

@@ThePedalGuy thank you for the swift response ! So if a review or specifications say a drum pedal can go in a pedal board, does that still cause the same problem when i want to use the gain channel? I play blues and rock.Guitar. Sorry, maybe i sound stupid, but i was out of the electric thing for a while and still catching up with the newest tech. I cant afford an extra amp just for drumsounds right now. Digitech trio looks interesting.
@ThePedalGuy
@ThePedalGuy 4 жыл бұрын
@@gammaraygem Not a problem. That's correct as to your question. You want to keep the amp clean ideally to get the best results. You could route the drum/Mixer output of the SDRUM to a 2nd channel on your amp if it has one. As long as the amp is clean, it will sound fine.

Quick advice: Just save up and buy a beatbuddy. That product set the standard, it has 10 different versions for every drum sample. So every snare or kick gets a ranomized sample which makes it sound like a real drummer. Products like SDRUM and Boss RC-10R fail to live up to the Drumcomputer in pedal form standard set in 2014 by Singular Sound, which is a damn shame. Yes it's cheaper, which justifies the lower quality but Digitech offers no alternative that is of higher quality. So is this the best you can do Digitech?

Your voice audio is very muffled... makes it pretty hard to understand you without turning everything up. It's a cool pedal! Probably going to end up getting one of these to go with my Jamman.

Do us all a big favor and stop with the cheesy sub sales bit in front of every video. If people like you, they will subscribe to your channel. It’s that simple. Most people will respond negatively to your sales pitch period, and NOT become a sub.
