I think The Forest's Aid will be much better than most people are predicting. It's pricey, but it forces your opponent to trade/use board clear in order to get rid of the Treants for risk of you playing Treespeaker or whatever other Treant synergy cards are coming and having a board of 5/5s (with another Forest's Aid in hand).

I mean considering a 5 mana summon 3 2/2's is seeing all of the play in Token Druid right now then an 8 mana summon 5 2/2's then get another one will more than likely definitely see play also. If 5 mana for 6/6 is good then 8 mana for 10/10 is also just as decent really. Plus if they use a big board clear to get rid of it you can just use it again forcing them to commit more to the board, since even if they have minions out they can't afford to not clear them, since there is aalways the threat of Savage Roar meaning you'll take 22+ to the face.

Yeah, I think it's a mistake to look at this as a tempo play that costs too much to be relevant. It's a *win condition*. Even without buffs, 5 2/2s is a big threat, and being able to buff big boards is pretty much a defining element of Druid's class identity at this point. The fact that you can cast it twice makes it far harder to deal with - your opponent needs to either have two board clears or enough of a board advantage to trade into TEN 2/2s over two turns.

well, I usually agree with your points of view and ratings, but i think you undershot these cards. Remember that after the mammoth rotates out, the expansions that have not seen almost any play will now be the only ones available and in top of that we will have all these new cards. Its almost impossible to deem how the new meta will be or how relevant these new cards will be. But what we can do is look at each card and explore its raw power, because at this point anything is possible and as ''weak cards'' will now be played, remember that these new cards may look weak now but they have much potential.

Using the reveal stream as a test, I'm gonna hope aggro takes a step back and the control vs. control comes down to card generation, basically the league of explorers meta where it was along the lines of: Aggro vs. Control = did reno get drawn yes/no? Control vs. Control = who made the most cards and was able to use them well!

I think a key thing you're missing with Forest's aid isnt its immediate potential, but what it means in tournament formats. With the introduction of specialist, some of the newer cards get a lot better as tech cards. In token druid, the forests aid requires your opponent to spend 2 board clears to deal with a single card, cause they dont know if you'll have any of the big board buffs that token druid uses to close out games. 5 2/2s arent threatening on their own, but with the threat of savage roar they absolutly are.

What some don't realize is that Kalecgos ISNT a 10 mana 4/12, it's a 10 mana 4/12 + any spell in your hand you want, OR one you discover (meaning free board/minion clear to go with him) + free spells so long as he lives. This guy is death stalker rexar levels of variability, CRAFT IT GOLDEN

You have the new mechathun combo with priest. Mechathun + lazul's scheme + forbidden words. Idk if forbidden words work with 0 attack minions while having 0 mana, but it might work. You might say that u need to wait 10 turns with lazul's scheme in your hand, but you have a lot of low cost spells for priest so, like trump said, it could be miracle priest. Just put heals and grave horror and it might just work!

I think Kalecgos is one of the strongest cards. I dont think its as strong as Blooodreaver Gul'dan (Played in Zoo during KFT despite the 10 Mana cost), but I think it will be in every midrange and controll mage. It has the potential to give you the perfect card for the situration and the potential to give a Big Spell like Firestrike the Potential to not just clear the board but also set up a threat. And just like Ysera, Kalecgos is a thread.

Lazuli's Scheme is also a lot better than you're giving it credit for. It has incredibly strong synergy with a ton of basic/classic cards Priest already regularly plays, like Shadow Madness, Shadow Word Pain, and Cabal Shadow Priest. And has there *ever* been a zero cost spell in the history of Hearthstone that didn't see at least some competitive play? Miracle Priest could very well become a thing, depending on how the new meta shapes out.

Hagatha's scheme will be a good replacement for volcano IMO. 5 mana but no Overload and the luck isn't in dealing the dmg to the right minions, but in drawing it soon enough.

I think you misjudge twinspell. It's a way to give high cost spells echo, an 6 drop with echo is meaningless ,but a six drop with twinspell works. ergo: twinspell should only got to high cost cards

8 mana 10/10 draw a card is not bad if druid gets even one single ramp card in this expansion. Especially with savage roar as a threat. That is an 8 mana play that, if your opponent does not deal with it, can have 34 attack next turn.

I think E means that your opponent has cards that you want to prevent them using? Because the Spellward Jeweler prevents spells to the face and it had an E fireball as a requirement, so basically it requires your [E]nemy to have spells in their hand to push face with to be an effective counter? I agree it seems really silly though.

You're underestimating some of these cards - most notably Kalecgos, one of the most absurdly broken cards ever revealed. *It works on the turn it's played.* If you play it on a turn when you already planned to cast, say, Flamestrike, it's basically a 4/12 + discover a Mage spell for 3 mana that almost certainly wins you the game if it can't be removed immediately.

Why does Twinspell need to be cheap? That’s the job of echo, as the card has to be played on the same turn. Twinspell is meant to give a decent effect without losing a card for one turn, giving you card advantage.

Interesting idea, but i think your ratings lack considering: 1. does this card give a wincondition 2. has this cards mechanics this class can make a use off? 3. you one sidedly took „card draw“ for default to take for schemes, while i think it is much more complicated, because you reach one point like 8 damage on hagatha, where you can probably play it any turn for a full clear. Still, as topdeck its a whirlwind, so the value is certainly much more than the carddraw synergy.

wrong about how hagathas scheme needs card draw to be good. control does not care as much about a temporary dead draw as much as midrange or aggro does. second thing you are wrong about is rafam, its 1 card slot which is a superbly statted minion being taunt and 7/8 which will be an auto include in nearly every warlock deck except hyper aggro.

Aren't schemes worse for a combo deck in theory? While you're more focused on card draw in a combo deck, you're also focused on not using specific cards within your hand. So you need to be even heavier on card draw if you want to rely on a scheme for protection in a combo deck, otherwise you'll be dealing with more of what makes combo decks weak -- the fact that you can't play all the cards in your hand. Just imagine having combo pieces and a scheme in your hand. It seems pretty bad.

You show Forbidden Ritual, that saw play, and say Rafaam's Scheme is terrible? :v I don't think it's meta-breaking, but I see some potential for sure. xD I'd give it 2~3 stars, for now. Also, Blood to Ichor and Improve Morale are very similar, and Blood to Ichor saw play as well. It's a good Execute/Enrage enabler and could even receive more sinergies. I would give it 3 stars, for now. Also also, I have high hopes on Kalekgos and Big Spell Mage. It's effect starts on the turn it's played and, if it survives (which is not hard, based on it's stats) it can be used again and again. So at best it will make several spells cost 0 and be a presence on the board, and at worst it will make 1 spell cost 0 and make your opponent desperately try to kill it, probably wasting a whole turn doing so (since Big Spell Mage is known for not letting the opponent develop the board that well). I would give it 5 stars, for now. For the rest of the cards, I mostly agree.

i say forbidden word is a very good designed spell. if you want ot destroy a powerfull big boss guy, you most certanly should spend as much mana as its own cost. when you have 3-4 mana spells like hex/poly and shadoword death that rips off 8-10 mana big guys.... you are most certainly kidding me; not only you are dealing with him, but you are also alowered to play something else.... lets not even forget how powerfull those cards are arena-wise.

It's pretty garbage since your opponent will most likely use their removal on it and especialy if it's popular keep the removal for it. 10 mana force your opponent to play a removal card and cast a spell for free sucks honestly

@@jogky2697So just a few things to consider. One is that you can play a spell and the Kalecgos on same turn. You will get at least one spell for free (Just one free spell alone is good) PLUS you get another spell that you discover (Unlike most of the time you would chose cheap cards, but because you get them for free now chose any spell that's expensive cause who cares what it costs). Perhaps I missed something that will make it unplayable, but as far as I know Mage has big spells that are staying in rotation. I agree, your opponent WILL remove this card. You will almost never see this card two turns in a row (especially in mage cause mage will not have board presence). BUT IN ONE TURN this card can make a huge splash. Or maybe I'm wrong.
