I just started using the Precise V5 needle point refill in the Dr. Grip Mauve Barrel too and it writes so much better than with the original G2 refill.

Pentel Energel refills will work with it quite well. I've used .5 needle, .7 metal, and 1.0 Energels in my Dr. Grip Limited with absolutely no problem. Nice video. Liked. Thanks.

Really? Wish I would have tried that before I gave both of mine away! Dang! I appreciate the tip, anyway. Thanks for watching and commenting. :-)

Thank you for the heads up about the Dr. Grip! Mine is the older, heavier metal style and I really like it. But of course, I have to try this one before it is gone for good. :)

You definitely do. I remember liking the old Dr. Grip, but I can't find mine anywhere. This was a nice replacement, plus I like this color better. No matter what color you choose, I'm guessing you'll like the lighter weight. Thanks for watching and commenting. :-)

The g2 refills isn't new it's only for the gel doctor grip that's y you've never heard of it cuz tht option isn't available (to my knowledge) for the rollerballs 😊

I'm not certain what you mean by "G2 refills...only for the gel doctor grip"...all of the refills made by Pilot are interchange.
@ThePenPixie10 жыл бұрын
Dr_Wooldridge I believe I was reading that off the packaging. And I didn't know that every Pilot refill was interchangeable. Thanks for the tip!And thanks for watching and commenting. :-)

Kristina Rider You're so sweet. I'm okay. I started a new job in July and it has either consumed my time or consumed all my energy on a daily basis. I do plan on getting back to my videos once I become acclimated to the pace of things. Thank you for your comment and concern. I'll be around soon! :-)

I like that you write down your thoughts on the pen instead of just scribbling some lines like other reviewers. 👍🏽 I seem to remember my Dr. Grip mechanical pencil being very squishy as well. Maybe they firmed it up or maybe they just break in over time. I do remember the grip on it eventually blowing out, so maybe they break in or maybe they made it less soft for durability.

I'm glad you like my style! I really do enjoy the Dr. Grip grips, especially on my 4+1s. Thanks for watching and commenting. :-)

+kelly tam You can get a Dr. Grip multi-pen. One of the refills is a pencil. I got mine from jetpens.com and have a video about it. I hope that helps! Thanks for watching and commenting. :-)

Try the uniball premier 207. I've had mine 15 years now. It's grip might be what you're looking for if u haven't discovered it already! It's much easier to refill the cartridges too!

I don't know what I do wrong, I don't have even remotely decent hand writing to begin with... With that said gel pens don't write for me. They streak and skip constantly. Could you do a video explaining how to use gel pens please?

Gel pens have passed me by so this got me a bit confused, G2 being the designation for standard Parker type ballpoint refills. Not the same thing, presumably. Anyway, your handwriting looks excellent as usual, so it must be okay. :-) Incidentally, not sure if this a UK-only item, but I've just spotted a rather cute Pilot disposable gel pen which comes in a range of colours (how about purple? - just guessing ...) and goes by the name of the Pixie.
@ThePenPixie10 жыл бұрын
GenWivern2 Right, the Pilot G-2 is different than the Parker refill. Pilot manufactures a very large G-2 line that is quite loved in the U.S. The G-2 is often an entry-level pen into finer writing instruments; it's a definite step up from the generic stick Bic.I have never heard of the Pixie... and in purple!? I'm completely intrigued. And thanks for the handwriting compliment. I find my writing is better at some times than others. As always, thanks for watching and commenting. :-)

I just found this video! I don't think they are discontinuing the Dr. Grips. I found the Dr Grip Full Black at Target 2 days ago. It would be said if they are discontinuing them because it is my favorite pen from Pilot. Thanks and have a great day!
@ThePenPixie10 жыл бұрын
ahmadaamer6 I think I heard they were being discontinued on the Pen Addict podcast. I don't know if they had a reliable source for that information, but that's where I heard it. I have been faithfully using my Dr. Grip daily for over a month, and I LOVE it. It's a great pen for everyday use at work. It's durable, reliable, and I love that hearty click. Thanks for watching and commenting. :-)

If you get an opportunity, you might want to take a look at the Monteverde Artista Crystal. Cost is very reasonable, and it will prove to be a very nice writing experience. Nice pen to add to your growing collection.

Kelley Thank you for the suggestion. I've had my eye on the Artista Crystal for a while, actually. I just need to bite the bullet and go for it.
