I love that you apologise for wearing your glasses and in the comments explain why. I like the mirror effect but have not yet seen myself in them. Your comment tells me that you care for us your students. I love that you tried to please the ones who got distracted by taking them off for a period. Obviously you love these glasses. You moved them all the way from Vancover to NS. Now is the time to check if your audience has changed. Yes we have changed. I like this distraction and want to see you wearing them on every future video lesson. How strong are your vision corrections? I guess -2 ?

Bonjour Dylane! Amazing video, thanks lots! I have a question tho, it would be awesome if you happen to see my comment and answer it for me. In the example of s'amuser, the example sentence "On s'est bien amusés à la fête." Why do we use "amusés" instead of "amusé"? If you or anyone else can please answer for me, that would be great! Thank you.

Good question Jennifer! Here ON represents more than one person, and since it's conjugated with être, the past participle agrees with the subject in gender and number :) I hope it helps.

Hi, could you please do a video on when to use "de" in possession? We all kinda struggle with it at school. For example, why is it "La Tour Eiffel" and not "La Tour d'Eiffel"? I would be really grateful for that 😊
@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane
@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane Жыл бұрын
Hi :) I have a video about de in my grammar playlist but for La Tour Eiffel, it's simply a noun of a landmark so rules don't really apply in this case :)
@clove.6430
@clove.6430 Жыл бұрын
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane Ah, merci. The teacher told us that it is "La Tour Eiffel" because Eiffel doesn't own it. That makes kinda sense, but then I don't understand why there are then "Les champs de Mars" 😂 I don't know, I still don't see a pattern. Is it a grammar thing or it depends solely on the name of the place?

I understand the concept of reflexive verbs. What I don’t really understand is why some verbs are reflexive to begin with. For example, I can't understand why "I remember this movie" would be "Je me souviens de ce film". In this sentence, I'm not remembering myself...I'm remembering something that doesn't seem reflexive back to me at all...this movie. So, if I didn't know any better, I would translate this example as "Je souviens ce film". Anyway, I hope this makes sense what I'm saying/asking. If there's an explanation as to why a verb like "to remember" is reflexive, I'd love to know! Thx, Dylane!
@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane
@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane Жыл бұрын
It's funny because for me it totally makes sense that this is a reflexive verb since you remember it in yourself. I guess that's because we use it differently in our languages :D
