Hi Dylane, I understand using Il y a in the present tense, but could you explain how to use it in the passé composé/imparfait please. eg: There was/were brothers and fathers in the room. There was a dog in the park. Also do you have a video explaining the pc ? Many thanks Wendy

They are both for the past. Il y avait is for something that happened regularly (imparfait) Il y a eu is for a one time event (passé composé)
