Hi Chris! Great video! I also adore the coconut note in perfumery! ❤🥥 However, in La Danza, which I also own, this note doesn’t exist. In fact, on the Nobile 1942 website, it mentions the COCOA note. I think there might have been some translation error somewhere, possibly even on Fragrantica.

Hi Luciana! 💕Yes, I understand that. But I DO detect a light coconutty vibe . 😉I did an entire video on “banan esque” perfumes; many of which do not contain the note of banana , but the combination of notes evokes (ex: vanilla, Ylang, coconut) a banana vibe. Same as Castling. As I say it has no coconut listed , but the way the notes are composed ……the composition smells like a green coconut. I think ppl are getting a little too wrapped up into whether a perfume officially lists a note, as opposed to just understanding I’m simply communicating my thoughts and interpretation. In addition, many perfume houses do not list a full note inclusion. Personally I just don’t think it should rise to the level of controversy . Maybe I’m just a little more laid back. 😉❤️ my hope however, by pinning this comment is two fold: 1). I would prefer not to keep responding to the same comment (I’ve had to delete the nastier ones) 😂And 2). I would like ppl to concentrate on the purpose of me doing this video ; which is that I love perfumes that smell like or feature coconut and I’m here to share mine. ❤️My videos are meant to be fun and light hearted and directed at others who simply love perfume like I do. Not stir debate or get ppl angry that I or Fragrantica (or Lucky Scent for that matter) “misrepresented” a perfume. It’s scented water after all. 🙏🏻💕😘

I love the note of Coconut. I’m a Jimmy Buffet kinda girl so this hits my preferred Summer Vibe! I have the same longevity issues with the Skylar scents and I have the same issue with Alien Goddess. Hi Chris: Hope you see this post…. Even tho HOS Hufflepuff was 50% off until recently, I passed and picked up Puffletuff from DUA. Got it today and I am completely satisfied. It is fantastic! Price point was hard to pass up and read many reviews that the dupe is stronger/lasts longer. I may never know but so pleased with the performance of this dupe that I can sleep well at night not knowing. 😊 Picked up a second travel size of Gioiosa …another wonderful coconut treasure. Hm, I sampled Tiziana Terenzi Tabit for the first time this week. I was surprised how good it smelled! There's a greenness and coconut, definitely, but it's so well blended and smells so luxurious... The price is also luxurious 😂. But yes, my Mum smelled me from the kitchen as I had left my room and she instantly screamed, "Give me that perfume!"

Hi Chris: Today I received Coco Alla Vaniglia and Gioiosa....WOW! You are spot on with these two scents.........they are beautiful coconut fragrances......lovely and intoxicating. I just found out that Choix is now at FragranceNet! I just cannot believe that. It was super hard to find even in Italy a few years ago so this is so nice because it’s a beautiful perfume. Had I known that, I would have mentioned Mon Ami in this video because I love it.

Thank you Chris for the great video! I really appreciate your taste in perfumes and your reviews. I purchased a travel spray of Ylang in Gold and I have to say that I am disappointed. On me it is much more vanilla and gourmand. I was hoping for more of a coconut fresh fragrance. It reminds me of a diluted version of Dior's Vanilla Diorama which is very strong. Oh well - that's why I buy samples and travel sprays first.

I'm loving Sucreabeille Oddling EDP (coconut CO², butter, vanilla; so decadent and it's a beast). Also loving: Kumba Made Creamy Coconut Oil (STRONG for an oil!!), D&G Garden, Jimmy Choo Rose Passion, DUA Cocoalicious, Fleurs Du Golfe Coco Du Yemen, Lavanila Vanilla Coconut, Kyse Coco A La Vaniglia, Cocoapink Coconut Cream Pie EDP, Yosh Ginger Ciao (very similar to Ylang In Gold), Comptoir Sud Pacifique Coco Figue, Omnia Profumi Madera, Smell Bent St. Tropez Dispenser, For The Scent Of It Gardenia Colada, Liquide Imaginaries Blanche Bete, Rue Madame Cotton Vanilla, Strangers Parfumerie Sweet Farewell, T Kalotinis Jasmine Of Athens (no coconut listed in notes but the heavy vanilla/ylang gives the impression of a creamy coconut). You've mentioned some beauties. I need to just pull the trigger and get Alien Goddess. And you're one of many people that I've heard say they prefer the OG over AG Intense. I love coconut in perfume (and food!) so I enjoyed your video a lot! My favorite second year in a row is Holidays from Mancera. It’s my most used summer scent in a long time. This year it might get beaten through as I fell in love with Armani Prive’s Bleu Turquoise. Although there’s no coconut there, it might beat my 🥥 scents this year as my nose (and brain) is obsessed with it. Do you have it in your collection, Chris?

Also, I loved Dance of the Dragonflies (not looking up the actual name right now - 😊) - I finished it a couple of years ago (easy to do when you only keep a few perfumes at a time, but I'm doing better!) - now I wish I still had it to see if I get coconut! Sometimes I have to know what I'm looking for, to actually detect it. When I first got it (LuckyScent) I got apples and *cola*, although the "cola" - that may have been totally in my mind - calmed down after I'd had it for a while. I enjoyed it, and got compliments. Are there any others from the Nobile 1942 line that you recommend, Chris? (Love the bottles!)

Hey girl I know! Hoping you guys can get some warm weather!!! I didn’t blind buy the Rock Sugar. I was planning on going to Sephora to sniff it (it’s there) and just yesterday got an email they are sending me a bottle so I’ll be able to try it. I try not to Blind buy perfumes that are at my local Sephora. Sometimes I have to wait a few weeks or a month for them to make it to St Louis…but they eventually do! 😂

Sad fact I don''t have any coconut perfume . Although I live in a very hot climate I can wear ambers and ouds all year long but I can't wear coconut. La Dana Delle Libellule is nice, I got this fragrance in one of my subscription boxes Coconut Cove, Sunplosin is a good summer fragrance, Miami is nice, Hufflepuff is nice, Tropica is nice i love it, Ylang In Gold is nice i don't like this one with sparkles in it, Madera is cute, Coconut Rana's is my all time favorite for the summer.

What a great video, Chris! Got me all in the mood for summer. I love coconut in perfume as well. I just bought Utopia after disliking it two years ago. Smelled it again recently and loved it! I am curious about Coco alla Vanglia, but is it similar to Madera? Because that one makes me nauseous and reminds me of baby vomit. I live in Europe so I don't want to nilly willy blind buy anything from the US considering the shipping costs and additional taxes. Off topic, but I never thought I would like any of the Alien line up, but I recently smelled Alien Essence Absolue and it was love at first sniff!!! I was able to buy my friend's old bottle and found a backup for a reasonable price, because it is sadly discontinued. Should you have the opportunity, give it a smell.

Hey Chris: Cannot believe it has been three months since you did this coconut video but I have to bring you an update. Since this was aired, I have two of the fragrances you mentioned....Gioiosa (18ml) and full size Coco Alla Vaniglia. Such beautiful scents! Half way thru the Coco Alla Vaniglia and done with the 18ml of the Gioiosa. Going to order the full size of the Gioiosa this week....do you think this would pair well with HOS Hufflepuff? I will pick up Hufflepuff soon but wanted your thoughts on combining these. Wish I could get my hands on the Italian fragrance...sounds divine! Thanks for this fun and informative video on coconut.........my new fav scent for Summer! :) Do you have thoughts on Note Vanillee from M. Micallef? @ThePerfumeNest Chris, I got the Musamam White Intense today, and I *love* it! It reminds me a little of Armani Sensi (used to be my signature scent) - I compared notes - maybe the benzoin? Anyway, I have to tell you the *rest of the story*...I had to go to Cape today, and my last stop was Sephora - I was really *good*, too - only sprayed *one* perfume instead of ten - Flowerbomb Tiger Lily - and sniffed my arm all the way home - (I decided it was Full Bottle Worthy!) - then there was the box with the White Intense waiting on my front porch, so I scrubbed my arm with soap and water because I knew I was going to have to try this *now*, even if it does get better in a month or so (all the better!) - I sprayed, and sniffed...and I thought, "Okay, did I not get all the Tiger Lily off? (or maybe it was just in my nose because I'd been breathing it in *heavily* for 30 miles) - It must have incredible staying power, because I lathered up!" - nope, it was the White Intense! So I Googled "Musamam White Intense smells like Flowerbomb Tiger Lily and other people thought so, too (including one KZbin fragrance person) - it wasn't just me! I wondered if you had both so you could compare - 🥰 Overall, I was very pleased, though - I have been skeptical! And I thought it was quite coincidental that Tiger Lily had been the only perfume I had tried this afternoon!
