This song makes me think of a wonderful dad of 4 young children at our church who passed away suddenly in February 2022. He was a wonderful man, a great singer, the first person that welcomed us to the church when we were new to the state and had two small children of our own. Love you Nathan. Praise God you’re home with our Great Redeemer.

I love his dobro playing but I find his voice a bit thin and nasal. And the brother is such a cutie but needs some professional voice training on how to open up his voice and get a stronger tone. (I'm a voice coach.) Really like them so much overall but the girls are the singers here, esp. Katie and Ellen.

He is singing naturally and in the proper style for this genre of music. He will go far singing exactly as he is singing now. Let's leave him alone, and, by the way, let's transcend above our innate desire as trained musicians to classically train everyone.

My mother is in hospice and I am a musician. She's very devout, I'm more of a doubting Thomas. But I remember some of the hymns that she loved and this was one. I used your video to learn the song (playing piano but I'm lucky to have a good ear). I followed it with Amazing Grace. She had such a look of peace. So I guess I'm saying thanks for recording a lesser known hymn. Your version is absolutely beautiful.

There was a live video recently where the Petersen kids talked about how some of their fans are not religious, but really enjoy the religious songs. I, too, am not a religious person, and I know that is the goal/hope of all faithful people to bring more people into the religion, but I do enjoy the songs because they are so relaxing and soothing. Having talented musicians, like the Petersen's and Franz families, helps, too ;)
