It's nice being able to see James take on the role of a protagonist again. I can certainly relate with this story, biting off more than you can chew. Ah well, things do seem to work out when it's just too much, just like how Gordon was there for James. Great video and a moment of silence for those who have lost their lives in the crashes. Also seeing Donald by himself shows that the twins can be written without them being flanderized like in Season 21.

This is probably the best Big Engine story, the best Tender Engine story, and the best James story all rolled into one! This is how James' character should be written, cocky but showing true strength when things are on the line. It's probably my favorite James story ever, mate. Well done on this!

I just saw this and I must say, this story is the full package. It was great to see the big engine trio again, we got to see Donald by himself, Gordon redeems himself, and James’ S7 theme is sick. I love this!

Weird how Brenner said James is his favourite character but yet never gave him a story like this where it showcase him in a positive light and the one that comes out on top. With how often he’s portrayed as an asshat in the show, it makes the viewer question why does TFC tolerate an engine like him so much and put up with his antics despite being a common offender. If this was an actual episode, it can show an example of why he earns his number and reason he hadn’t been sent away years ago.

I think it was mainly because of Mattel. After HiT's soft reboot with the series, Mattel just kinda saw James as a pompous butthole who only cared about himself, only letting small glimpses of what the writing staff wanted to do with James shine, but not too much. Yeah, it sucks, but it is what it is.

I love your work. I had an idea for an episode. Boco gets tired: After meeting bill and ben, boco was learning the ropes around the island and getting to know the engines, until he runs into diesel and had to stand up against diesel's trickery and bullying the other engines. Or Percy's temper: After a hard long week of work, Percy was angry that he was not getting a break. But when Edward asks for help, he would shake in anger and scare him away. After realizing this would get him out of doing work, he would do this anyone who would ask until his anger got him in trouble and had to learn a valuable lesson.

The Express would have had a track cleared for it ahead of time, but because James was up there unscheduled, he would have had to wait while arrangements were made downline for him to come back light engine.

Usually James is the only engine that can't get up Gordon's Hill I will say James needs to be careful with his brakes when he's going too fast I know he likes going fast but you need to learn how to use the brakes
