Agree - super pretty piano, reconditioned with love. Wow - did not know that about ivory keys. I would def visit your piano museum. omg - sound is heavenly. Sort of piano one would sell all one's possessions to own. Dope piece at the end - blew my head off!

How about a concert? You're the only pianist I really enjoy. No dramatic gestures: just soul pouring out. Your "testing" concoction is beautiful. Caveat: as a minor I was enslaved to an accordion.

Excellent review and music. I didn't know that music was from the movie score. It reminds me of Mark Peter Revell's "The Art of Essence" LG Signature commercial. Lovely, thank you.

I loved your original composition for testing pianos, and your rendition of the 'Pirates of The Carribean' was wonderful! I have been enjoying your channel very much, thank you! :D

The wood is red stained mahogany, it was very popular in the 1920's Steinways. I don't think they made cherry veneered pianos except for special orders. I have a nearly identical 1927 rebuilt Model L. Sounds much the same!

James, it could be cherry. The stain color is usually used on cherry. It's a gorgeous wood and I love it.

Probably Mountain Mahogany, from the New World, not Asia. South American Mountain Mahogany is near extinct, being huge trees, they towered 120 to 130 feet into the forest canopy. Since they had beautiful red/brown wood that was very close grained, and dense, specific gravity of 1.10 meaning it would not float until dry, also indicating very slow growth, they were sought for fine furniture production. To find such a tree, today, is very unusual, as poachers are constantly searching, even in the national parks. I enjoy your wonderful skill and hearing the music my mother played for 3 hours every day for over 60 years, winning the National Yamaha Organ Amateur Award, twice.

I have identical piano, as I can see wood work detail/carving and colour is the same. Mine is 1925. I am a bit surprised that metal work is chrome. Mine is brass, and I have never seen chrome for that vintage. IMHO brass goes much better with the wood colour. Are you sure it is 1932? Surprised to see the same design 7 years later. What was the serial number?

Just look for the serial number of the piano and it will give you the year it was made. See the following link: www.countrypiano.com/age-of-steinway-piano/

I looked it up at the piano store he mentioned, it sells for about $37,000. built in 1932.

A recently well rebuilt mahogany 1920's model L is in the $30-40,000 range. A lot less than the $100,000 for a new mahogany Model O (replaced the nearly identical Model L).

James I'm not quite sure what you're focus is in some videos. Are you getting a commission from the sale of the instruments you profile? There's certainly nothing wrong with that. I wish your presentations weren't so rushed. Would also enjoy hearing more actual playing of pieces.

Ian Sloan, I am not involved in the sale of any of these instruments. I just like paying them, and talking about them as well. I try to get a lot of information to the viewer in a short period of time, but I think most people like this format.

@@rennedelorean3341 So glad you like the videos that I love to record. I think that at times people would like me to change my channel into a format that they would enjoy more, but I would enjoy less.
