Story behind the song:
Our kids give us great inspiration for our music. When Jon's 17-year-old daughter said how much she loved this song, Jon decided to try it. He experienced a flood of inspiration. "Never has a piano part come
together this fast," Jon says. Steve experienced similar inspiration
while composing the cello parts. Since the lyrics suggest a bride
walking towards the groom in a ceremony we thought we would include a quote from the Bridal Chorus by Wagner in the climax of the song. (It is carefully disguised).
As it seems to always go, Paul and Tel didn't find the spot until they spent 9 hours driving around southern Utah the day before the shoot looking. After getting a little discouraged by not finding anything that great, they just happened to check out a little-hidden spot right near Baker Dam and thought it was perfect for the song. The next morning we all loaded up the piano and headed out there to film, but after getting the Truck and Trailer stuck and waiting for the sun to move, we didn't get started filming until that evening having about 3 hours of light. It was so fun to film and play in the middle of the trees!

@@lharamonte4048 I don't know if you saw this story, but just over a year ago, John Schmidt, who is one of the piano guys, lost his daughter. She had gone out to the backcountry and somehow disappeared but no one really knows why or how she disappeared. She had a good future ahead of her, but just very sad all around. I think music has the ability to heal when bad things happen. Still great musicians both of these guys are. 😊

I will be walking down the aisle on April 24th (about three weeks from now) for our vow renewal. We were young I was 20 and he was 22) and we didn't have the money back in 1989. I thank y'all for your kind words. After I served in the military, I went into Law Enforcement. It was a satisfying career. Worked DUI Enforcement for years, taking drunks off the road. I was a member of the "100 Club" ( meaning..obtaining 100 DUI arrest a year) obtained that average for four consecutive years, before I was transferred to Detective Division. I believed if I can take one DUI off the road, I can save some father, mother or children from being victims.

I was putting my daughter to bed tonight, and my wife lets her listen to lulabys on pandora to calm her and this song started playing. I imdiately ran to my wife and hugged her and in that moment all i could see was us two young kids under three giant crosses on a windy hilltop, i could see her walking down the aisle and how beautiful she was. Me and my best friend, Emma, listened to this song when we were about twelve years old, all the time together. So that we would never forget each other. We would dance together and laugh and play and be happy. Since this is basically a sad song, we decided to change the meaning and make it a happy song to us. So that when ever we listen to this we're happy and not sad. We liked it better without words. We didn't know why. We just did. I listened to this song when we didn't see each other or one of us was on a trip without the other. She said that she did the same and that made this that much more special. We met each other when we were 2 years old and instantly became best friends (our parents were friends). We had a very strong connection to each other. Until she was tragically killed in a car accident. Our friend ship lasted 17 years. This song was played at her funeral. I listen to this and remember out fun times together. I miss her so much. My wife and I are having our wedding ceremony this April and she's walking in to this version of the song. I get teary eyed just at the thought of it. I can't wait, it'll be the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in the world. Update: Thank you everyone for your kind words! We had our wedding April 25th and as expected her walking in to this tune was unbelievable. It's hard to put into words how radiant she was, so I won't even try. I didn't cry though! During our exchange of vows we wrote letters to each other from when we are 80 years old and have spent an entire life together - recalling all the struggles, good times, and how much our love for each other has grown over the years. It was extremely powerful, with even the priest and cameraman unable to hold back the tears. Love is a beautiful thing, and I hope everyone is able to find that special person to share it with.
