Excellent video Matt! Your 3rd tip resonates strong with me! I have a tendency to try and rush the net and get burned by opponents if my partner hits an attackable ball.

Brilliant! This is the best video I've seen that summarizes concisely, accurately and articulately the most important factors that players need to be mindful of if they are serious about getting to the highest level. I especially like your first point about going from the hard to soft game. That's one of the toughest split-second decisions to make in pickleball: when to slow it down (dink, reset) and when to speed it up (attack).

Good video, good content. I’m 5.0 and I agree with these points. Your last point, which I will call tip #5 (practice), is probably the most important point. Drilling and practice will improve your game faster than anything else.

I tend to explain the first scenario a little differently. I say load and push from the opposite foot. So to move right, I'm loaded and drive from my left foot and the shuffle happens as a coordinated motion not 1, and 2. But drive, 1-2. Points 2 and 3 are spot on. This approach tends to keep the player athletic and on balance. Just my take fwiw

Hi Matt, would you consider to come to Warren Racquet Club to hold clinics or 4 persons lesson? There is a large population of Pickleball players around this area, Warren, basking ridge, green Brook, Bridgewater, Berkeley height. We are eager to learn how to become 4.0 or 4.5 double players.

Some people play for fun and others play for competition and to get as good as they can.
