Make sure you find out just how young a female can get pregnant and I suspect the the black male is the father. Never mind that he is a sibling. Nature makes it impossible to resist sex and baby making you will have to find out which babies are male and find them homes and get the your mamas fixed.

FYI, you can get KMR in powdered form so you can make up small batches as needed. When my daughter got her first hamster, Bijou, she was just a baby herself. We did not know she was pregnant. She gave birth to 9 babies. She was scared and confused and clearly had no idea how to deal with them. After she ate five of the babies (gross and upsetting, but not uncommon), we knew we had to try to save the last four. We used KMR which we fed using a small, soft artists paintbrush, and the babies suckled off the bristles. We did our best and in the end only one survived and he was so special; he really thought we were his mamas and was cuddly, playful and even gave us kisses. Only one out of nine, but we called it a success! Named him Bruiser and thus began the tradition of giving all of our hamsters "B" names.

Thank you for rescuing these precious bun buns. Just a thought but Mummy Bunny might benefit from some supplemental feeding of critical care. Eight babies to now feed will take it out of her. Also her previous life on the streets and poor diet means that she will naturally be undernourished even before giving birth, plus all the stress. Any extra attention she receives from you when feeding her critical care will also mean she can have some special loving bonding time with her new Daddy and she will feel like the special little lady that she is! This is exactly what I went through. All 3 bunnies that I caught were pregnant. I have a few suggestions. Instead of hand feeding the babies, hold the mother and put the baby to the moms belly to drink unless the rabbit is too skittish. Also the babies will squeeze through the bars so what I did is I put carboard along the bottom edges of the pens so they dont escape. I am sure you know this but just incase I wanted to share. Not sure if this is already part of your procedure. I use the unscented kitty litter pads in bottom of my bunny litter box with parchment paper over the pad and a paper towel over parchment paper the mat. The paper towel keeps urine in one place, parchment allows it to absorb slowly in to padding. Pad keeps out odor. Since bunny droppings don’t have much of an odor it helps a lot. I also put three-layers of this with parchment in between, on top of each other so that I just have to lift off a layer with its mat and litter box is done. I have had several people come in my home shocked that I had a bunny because you can’t smell it at all. I also use a mixer of dawn and vinegar with a little water to wash their mats, litter box, toys and dishes.

If you have a vet experienced with exotics, you can have the males neutered from about 4 months old. Once neutered, wait a couple months then you can start intros either with the other males, or with the females. You need to wait that time though, as 1) their hormones will still make them aggressive towards others until its out of their system, and 2) some sperm remains after neutering and they need to be separate from females until that sperm dies off after about 6 weeks.

I'm so thankful you rescued these buns and gave them safe places to raise their babies. But I cringe when I see you preparing syringes for feeding...momma rabbits only nurse once sometimes twice a day...its usually in the night and when no one is around...nursing bunnies is top secret business! Let the mama take care of her babies please. When you clean after childbirth, make sure you keep the fur...its what keeps them warm. She will wall the nest in with hay...she will also poop in the nest. These are cecotropes that babies eat, so leave them be. I didn't know this and really upset my doe! The cecotropes help the babies develop their intestinal flora (they are their probiotics). The best thing to do is disturb the mother as little as possible. Clean up outside the nest, feed her greens and pellets, and give her plenty of fresh water and alfalfa hay. LEAVE the babies business to momma!

Beware!!! To all watching this video who have bunnies near by each other in cages un neutered , bunnies CAN get pregnant through bars, so each cage space will need to be spread a bit a part!!
