I've seen some really similar Sceptile sets, but I don't think I've seen one that used leaf gem. Pretty awesome! My favorite set for Sceptile is everything you had except substitute Rock Slide for Earthquake, and substitute Natural Gift for Acrobatics and give it Watmel Berry. Natural Gift covers the steel, bug, ice, and grass wall problems as well as activating Unburden, and Rock Slide covers flying and fire weakness as well as a strong neutral game against poison types. I think that's pretty standard to some though, so it may not be crazy original.

i used the yanmega in UU to once get a sweep! also, try power herb Arcanine (trolls rhyperior), belly drummin azumarril, para-flinch cobalion, and a favorite: amnesia/bulk up scrafty. they all work realy well when used correctly!

Nice Sceptile. Though I'm not certain as to why everyone gives it Acrobatics. Flying moves only cover it's bug weakness while Rock Slide covers all but Poison, which is a type of move rarely ever used in competitive play (except Toxic). Mine is EVd in Speed and Attack, is Adamant, carrys a Focus Sash, and knows Drain Punch, Rock Slide, Leaf Blade, and Swords Dance. Knocking it into red only helps me by activating Overgrow to boost the power of Leaf Blade.

Without an item, Acrobatics has 110 Base Power, therefore making a very deadly force. It's not really much for coverage as it is for completely decimating the opponent. Not to mention that without an item, Sceptile's Speed goes through the roof. So even though it doesn't provide much coverage, it's still a very viable set.

I use that same Sceptile set but with the flying gem. I get a lot of sweeps by getting a swords dance on a switch and then doubling speed with the unburden ability.

Well hey, do whatever you want to do. I was just explaining. Anyway, what about the sweepers boosted with Agility, DD, QD, etc.? Sceptile is able to outspeed some of the them. Just saying, Unburden can help you get rid of that sweeper that's just too fast for your other Pokemon. Also, it could stop Baton Pass teams. Anyway, yeah I used an Accelgor a few times and it was awesome, more people should definitely use it, especially on rain teams with its Hydration ability.

I used to have a grass gem unburden sceptile modest and max special attack, but in gen 6 they took out the grass gem so now I have a focus sash sceptile with energy ball, dragon pulse, focus blast, and hp ice

pal park is in DPPt and you can transfer your GBA-game pokemon into your DS game with it. It's somewhere in the south and only accessible after you beat the elite 4. poke transfer is kinda the same thing but to transfer pokemon from DPPt to BW/BW2, so for poke transfer you need 2 DS.

I see your point. But Sceptile is already really fast, so I don't see why anyone would need Unburden to make it faster, especially since the only 2 Poke'mon that both threaten and outspeed Sceptile without some kind of speed buff are Aerodactly and Accelgor. (Why don't we see more Accelgor being used competitively? It's a great Special Sweeper. I guess it has to do with it's movepool leaving a lot to be desired.) Anyway, I'll stick to my Focus Sash set thank you.
