Another great podcast. I'm so glad you also shared the story of Serena problems during childbirth. Black women's tolerance for pain is over estimated and ignored. One of my favorite runners Tori Bowie died in 2023 due to complications of childbirth. I'm glad Serena spoke up for herself and had you to back her up. This has saved her life. May God continue to bless you and your family and the work that you're doing.

He’s absolutely right about suggesting some of these women’s leagues stop marketing their sports as versions of the men’s game. That’s definitely part of why the WNBA stay losing. Women’s tennis is its own product similar ofc but different than the men’s game. The women are allowed to be women and their sport is VERY popular and financially lucrative. And their fan base is probably more Men who appreciate them and their product.

Totally different dynamic from the WNBA, and WTA. How do you explain women's NCAA basketball being more popular, and getting better TV ratings, than men's basketball? I guarantee you that when Caitlin Clarke enters the WNBA next year, her presence will not make any difference to that league's popularity. You're taking a nearsighted, purposely biased view regarding this issue.

@seensay21328 ай бұрын
@@onlinesavant the fact Caitlin Clark is a bigger star in the NCAAs than she will be in the WNBA. Reflects the WNBA’s poor marketing and unviable product model. The NCAA is marketing WOMEN’S basketball. The WNBA all this time has been trying* to market a version of the NBA. If you can’t understand the difference between, lol you’re likely a front office WNBA exec killing the league by trying to prove your players can do everything a Man can 😂😂

You should look at NCAA Women’s gymnastics too. They are amazing! I’ve always watched them for years, especially when women elite after not making an Olympics team prolong their talents at college. Long before NIL and the olympians coming to college. But the spot is even more exciting now. It’s amazing! Now they’re finally being seen on the national level for the Championship but they’ve longed deserved more marketing and screen time on major networks.
