That evening routine is the best (even at home, honestly)! Thanks for that Ted talk! I sometimes feel like if I’m not doing EVERYTHING by myself I’m not doing enough. And that’s so far from the truth. Ask for help. It’s ok. It’s also our partner’s job to do those things! That doesn’t make us any less of a mom. 💜

It took a long time for me to let my husband help with packing. I make a list and if I don’t pack it I feel like we forgot it. But now I know he follows my list and we have everything. We are a large family of 9 so we have to split up the kids for sanity. So we split the kids routines between the adults for the whole two weeks we are in Disney and it works great and we normally get to bed or out the door when needed.

My husband is better at the physical part of parenting (wrangling our very strong 2 year old toddler), and I'm way better at the "stuff" organization - setting up kid activities, packing the stroller etc. Totally agree re work as a team. But sometimes we have to switch up roles so we can appreciate each other!

I have been watching a lot of your videos. Lots of good information and I really enjoy watching your vblogs! I use to have a season pass to Disneyland and went all of the time. It was so fun. I also have 2 girls. We are planning to go to Disney World in March and I’m wondering if you could tell me how your family usually dresses for that time of year. We have only been in the summer and fall. I’m also wondering if it’s too cold to summer. That will make a difference on the resort we go with. We are from Louisiana so not used of swimming when it’s cool.

Last 2 times we went to Disney, we didn't pack our bags the night before. We were so tired we let it go until morning which made us later and I believe my husband forgot to pack something and it caused an argument in the parks. 😕 I love when you say "do your future self a favor" and I often remind myself of this! Thanks Ashley 😊

Loved the message about letting your partner help. I’m terrible at asking for help. And if he spontaneously does something, I have a hard time letting go of the control/making sure it’s done the way I would do it. Is it getting the job (relatively) done? I have to consciously tell myself to let it gooooooo. ❤️ if I nag at him all the time about not doing it how I would do it…he’s not going to want to help at all 😂

I've been lurking for a while now. We have our first family trip coming up in early June! So excited! But I do have a question about doing laundry on site. So, it looks like you left your laundry unattended, but have you heard of anyone stealing clothes? I get that it's Disney, but I've also heard about increasing stroller thefts, so it leaves me feeling a little leery. 😅 Thanks for all you share! I also just started following Spoonful of Cleaning and will patiently wait for an upload on that channel! Hope you're doing well! 💜
