#fbf #thenandnow For the #pocketqlub♦️♣️ OGs that have been following my story/journey for a while now, you may remember when I posted this video back in 2019 of me experimenting with samples of @cecilemclorinsalvant
From there I decided to give writing to it a try and have my friend @iammattrose come through and help me write and brainstorm a vision for it. (I was also going to feature him as the rapper but changed my mind to tap more into the black woman perspective and experience which is when I called @ryckjane ...)
One day I was cranking the track from my apartment and my neighbor @ianrollersax just so happened to be walking by and grabbed his flute to further breathe life into the vision and creation.
Then got the whole thing mixed by @rossnewbs
I’m so grateful to have captured the creation of this song (and all of my songs) on camera just to serve as proof that no matter how far I go, this did NOT happen over night, and and God literally supplied me with everything that I needed to get the task done in his time.
It’s finally done :) can’t wait for you all to experience the finish product of this vision. Just in time to black history month.
