When Ryan talked about blitzing, he was definitely talking about how disquising it better and blitzing more. And if you watch JH interview, he says they told them they didn't necessarily have the right personnel to run with the Jack. He also said he wants to be a versatile LB and not just play the jack. He said he could play in different spots.

Jim Knowles first year I think he was very creative but he saw it led t explosive plays so now in year 3 I think he can go back to year 1 Knowles just a little less aggressive

So guys, our Defense, for 3 years in a row now => whether aggressive, passive or neutral => allowed TTUN to run right through them. Last year, with mainly these same players and Xichigan’s All American O-lineman out of the game ==> couldn’t stop a run that everyone knew was coming. So Knowles and his defensive staff, scheme and players are going to have to prove it to me because our No 2 ranked Defense last year leaked like a sieve when it mattered most.

Every day is a position battle. In the weight room through the summer, you better be battling. Come fall camp, the battles better continue. Even starters better be looking over their shoulder and competing to remain the starter. The competition for positions only makes the team better.

Without Birm, this show is lacking. Austin doesn't understand schematics. I love Bill, but he usually backs Austin. Today, Bill supported Birm. The defense has to play depth this year for a long season and for the future. My belief is that's exactly what Day is doing.

Austin has so little football knowledge it actually hurts. Badly. Wtf are you even talking about? The jack is used by every modern defense, including the NFL. These young guys are looking for their roles in the future…..it’s absolutely necessary. Wish he’d just handle the back end of these pods and let these two talk ball.
