I feel for these kids because they think they know what they're getting into. It's all cool, fun & games and friendly until it isn't. Social media has made it easier for fans to let players know how they feel after a win or loss. Kyle McCord found out after losing one game what it's like to hear from the part of the fanbase the guys at 97.1 The Fan call the "2 Percenters". I guess Stroud was keeping what the 2 Percenters were saying to him after losing to Michigan twice to himself because McCord couldn't leave fast enough and I don't blame him. Some of these OSU fans forget these are young men and are still young enough to get their feelings hurt. McCord paid all those fans back by leaving before the bowl game and he showed them how the team would play without him. It also showed Day he needs to get these back up QBs some playing time in some of these blowout games.

Bill mentioned it, but I do think Will’s ceiling is a better version of JT Barrett. Good in the read option game, short to intermediate passes, and can occasionally take the top of the defense. I think he’s a guy that will get in people’s faces when needed and be a really effective runner. The feel for the game and intangibles is something JT always brought to the field.
@13kimosabi132 ай бұрын
IMO => you bought into the BS narrative our media and coaches float out ad nauseam…. I’ll take the QB’s with the right skill set every time over BS intangibles. JT Barrett won nothing for Ohio State except a well known losing tradition in big games. Give me Joe Burrow, Cardale Jones, Joe Germaine, Kenny Guiton, Kent Graham and Art Schlichter => all day over the bs leadership and intangibles of Barrett, Braxton, Bellisari, Herbstreit, Jackson, etc., etc….. The DIFFERENCE is monumental and why so many posers can’t understand it, is pretty clear => they drink the Kool-Aid and swallow the bs sandwiches IN MASS QUANTITIES !!!

All the top portal QBs. Cane to the new schools to start let's be honest might loose the starting jobs if they don't play well. But starter is what will is here. Plus Howard's probably the highest paid player in the team. That matters some

As an old Buckeye I'll tell you one thing. You never see a national championship at OSU coming. 2002? 2104? I didn't see it coming until it the end.

@@drnantz Sure => but most of us can remember and name several seasons where we should have won it all but our HC made so many daft and clueless decisions, we couldn’t overcome his negligence……

Can we start WH the first few games and get him out quickly so Sayin and Nolan can get some much needed trigger time to be ready ? I hate/loathe having the BIA Defense and all the weapons we need on Offense => only to be stopped short of winning a Natty because our HC is playing a JT Barrett type QB in the wrong offensive scheme WHILE Cardale Jones and/or Joe Burrow are sitting on the bench watching the negligent incompetence of our HC, squander yet another year. Let’s not do it yet again!!! Our HC’s have been so daft and clueless in the past => it’s hard to trust they’ll get it right this season……. Just Sayin……and Air-ing my opinion……

Will Howard wasn't going to start at Kansas State this year. I can't believe how hyped you are about this guy. A worse passing, better running version of Kyle McCord. If Ohio State wins with Howard at QB... it won't be because of Will Howard.
