The key to AJ is you're gonna wanna try to hit top two pair on the flop or hit three of a kind. Don't bother trying for quads as you have too much of the board and you're gonna want to leave room for your opponent to get some of the board.

I usually try to flop broadway and to have my opponent flop the bottom end of the straight. Then I leave and try to hit my last 12 bucks on black. If that doesn’t work I stop and play lotto. I try to hit all but one number, to not be greedy. Then I try to make it be the weekend, even though yesterday was Wednesday. And I try to make sure it isn’t raining. I get home from work and try to make sure my GF isn’t a bitch, but you don’t have control over everything so I let that one go.

Watching this I have realized that with the explosion of ai that live real world in person poker is the only way to go. It's like poker will always have to be played old school, by humans on a table, to ever be able to win consistently. Long live casinos & poker rooms!!!!

had quads about 15 times ever, twice with AJo, had a straight flush 4 times ever, one was with AJo, hand always manages to hit and if it doesnt you just continue and they seem to have also missed

Yeah, I shoved even though I had less chips. It's funny, I don't get lucky that often that way, but I can't shake the feeling that whoever goes all-in pre, gets favored on the flop. 😅 Did I mention the other two times recently where *I* got fucked over with aces? I think both times I called a shove there. One time was on a K,A,Q flop, I flopped a set, villain shoved over my bet with Q,8 of clubs and hits runner, runner flush. Other time I had an overpair on a 9,2,10 flop. First hand of the tournament. I have aces, I bet. Villain shoves with Q,3!!! 😡😡😡 Turn 8 River J .... I was SO mad..... 😅🤭🙈

Nice video. You didn't talk about being 3bet when holding AJ though, which is, for me, a really annoying situation. Thx for any reply ;-)
@lostmagicdude888 Жыл бұрын
Yeah exactly. Single raise pots are no problem but 3 you're always calling with AJo but how to play it? and 4bet calling AJo 50% of the time so how play then?
@TheGameKat Жыл бұрын
Depends on the relative positions. For example if we open UTG in 6-max and get 3-bet by HJ, the Red Chip app recommends folding AJo and calling with AJs.

TheGameKat nailed the response. I would highly suggest playing around with the app, although the UTG vs HJ 3B is quite representative =)
