I can only imagine the havoc a water hammer would do on this size a system, definitely want that air purged!

it sounds like a bomb going off! It is scary, and then all that water rushing back to the surge tank over fills it and dumps into the pump house. Its a site to behold, but scary as hell

I like how everything in the machine room of the slides looks so clean and fresh, like the pumps and piping were put in only last year. If you saw our stuff at WnW Emerald Pointe, you'd wonder "How is this ride still running?" How do you do it? More money?

Take a look at knipex pliers wrenches. I put off buying them for years and I regret doing it. I am a mechanic and I literally use them everyday.

Hello, may i request something for an upcomping video? I would like to see how the water in the tank behaves when you start the pumps for the slides. So a camera shot where you can see how the water is still at the beginning and the water starts to move when you start the pumps. Can also be from one of the other tanks. PS: I love your videos and you really help me overcome my fear of pumps, water inlets and outlets.

I like to have pool filled 2 weeks prior to our inspections. I don't really care about when we open. Once pools have water, we keep them up to standard anyway.

Question why do the motors get stuck and don’t want to spin ?
@khx732 жыл бұрын
He explains it at 13:15
@MattTrevett2 жыл бұрын
The pumps corrode just a little bit, it's unlikely that the motors are the cause here. A normally running pump will wear corrosion off due to friction. A pump left all winter will just grow corrosion and get sticky. There are ways to prevent it and ways to correct it. Using a higher start frequency would probably not work because of excessive slip. The best bet is to weld a nut to the outboard end of the motor and use a breaker bar to free it up prior to even trying to start.
