Truly stunning home, the layout, usage of fabric, everything is to die for. The only downside of these tours is that they do not give us links as to where the home owners have shopped for such a tasteful pallet, would have been useful for the viewers for an idea to redo tehir homes.

Elegant interior design. I think if you're going to go traditional this is the way to go. It's very tailored and not overdone. I'm much more eclectic and modernist, but when a home is so elegantly done like this one, I find myself often thinking that I do like traditional too and I super appreciate what Camie achieved in her home. My home architecturally somewhat dictates what direction to go because it's a midcentury rancher with a cathedral ceiling living room dining room area. It's pretty interesting that neighbors on my block have gone traditional and others very modern in the same designed homes. The houses don't have the traditional charm elements architecturally and so that's why I lean more eclectic- somewhat Scandinavian modern using various wood tones of teak, walnut and mahogany. I grew up with a father and mother that were in design and their home is all Nakashima, Eames, Knoll, Nelson , Bertoia, McCobb, Saarinen, Risom and so that sort of has formed my aesthetic. It's interesting because that classic modernist work does go well with traditional elements of home accessories, art and handmade rugs that are traditional. It's all fun.

There is more than one fireplace, so if you mean the one in the family room, I think the green square is just part of the painted design. She also talks about the painting over the fireplace in master bedroom which is 6 pieces from an old Coromandel Screen.
