I’ve actually done that once. I left a poem on a Harry Potter fan page about Alan Rickmans passing and a Harry Potter store contacted me to design something for them. I gave them the idea of “Beats by Draco”(the dre headphones and such were popular at the time) and they gave me the green light and designed a cellphone case and I think a shirt for it as well. It can’t be found anymore because the website doesn’t exist but I saved the design if anyone would like to see it. I did get compensated but I chose to get merch instead of money 😅 because I was young and silly and was going to buy something “useless” anyways lol

Just a heads up! Parking is free after 6pm when it’s not during Halloween Horror Nights. It was still $30 after 6pm last weekend and only free after midnight. That was something I didn’t know.

I almost got into sooooo much trouble with all the awesome Christmas ornaments when I was there a few weeks ago! I really do want to do a small HP tree in addition to my regular tree this year. I did buy the Slytherin string backpack from the Universal Studios Store at CityWalk, though, and it's so useful!

I could have done serious damage with the HP Christmas ornaments! SO so many good ones, but our tree is already like half HP and I have to leave room for my partner's ornaments (he has a lot of family heirloom ones).

Always when I see Quiddich merch I think why they have to be "Team captain" -themed because I would have never been any of those things, same with Head boy or Prefect :D What's wrong with being a beater or a keeper, nothing! :D

Just got back to Michigan from a WW trip this past week! I didn't buy a ton of merch but couldn't resist the Thestral plush which is new since my last trip two years ago (and my favorite Magical Creature), as well as a "dark pretty" tank top from Borgin and Burkes that I didn't see last time; I think it's meant to be a pajama top but I wore it to HHN with jean shorts and felt it looked perfect! The witch at the counter at B&B said they've been very popular. Also grabbed one of the Advanced Potion Making journals. Besides those items I got a set of heart and dagger Chucky dangle earrings for HHN and then grabbed the Hello Kitty Chucky tee at the Hello Kitty store on our last day.

Yes, anytime it is brought up, I share my dislike for it, its "place" in the Wizarding World, and how it was advertised as the "8th book". The play is visually magical and stunning but the story, as far as I am concerned, is fanfiction since it was not written by J.K. Rowling. Just "approved" by her.

@ThePotterCollector How does Rowling expect us to reconcile this "canonical" addition to the Potterverse, where without explaining away half of the contradictions (most of which can't be explained away) it clearly does not add up. How do you reconcile this, being probably the biggest Potter fan out there? What would you say to other Potter fans? I wonder why JK ever said that it should be considered canon? 🤔

If so please explain what HufflePuff has to do with Badgers. Slytherin is the only one that makes sense 100 percent. Gryffindor only makes half sense as a griffon is only half lion and actually is more usually remembered for its bird half than its lion half.
