Im not someone who buys more than one edition of books, but i have made a huge exception for HP. I collect these and the Jim Kay illustrated ones simply because they are so stunning. I think the Mina Lima editions are my favourite though - even the size of the books is bordering on perfect. I love that they are textured too. The details in both versions are amazing, unique and worthy of collecting.

I'll buy the minalima collection when they are all done. I'm still a bit depressed that my Jim Kay collection will never be complete. Jim Kay retired. They can get another illustrator but it won't be the same with the other 5.

I cried when mine arrived in the mail 😂. I've been so excited. MinaLima did amazing, they always do. These editions are just so magical. Now for the long wait for Goblet of Fire. My favorite book and movie.

28:50 I noticed here in the painting on the left that there is a doe and a stag. I think it is a really cool reference having Remus keeping in his office a painting with animals that represent lily and James, two of his best friends.

Got mine 2 days ago. Such a stunning book just like the others. The Patronus scene at the lake and the marauders map were my favourite pages but so many great interactive pages. Can't imagine how big the Goblet of Fire is going to be. Maybe they will have to split into 2 volumes? Great flick-through video. Thanks Peter.

They haven't translated these to Estonian yet, so we're enjoying Jim Kay illustrated books so far, but will probably purchace these as well if they translate them. I have 3 daughters who are all potterheads and are all into art as well. So having their favourite book that is also art is a must-have in this household.

One of the hardest parts of getting these books is forcing myself to not just go through the book before I reread them so the story unfolds with all the extra illustrations, bits and moving parts as I go to refresh it all in my mind. I still take a sneaky peak in one part where ever my finger lands on that is not an obvious moving part then I close it up and start from the beginning. These are such beautiful representations of the books and absolutely gorgeous imagery is some of their best to date for this book series.

This book is amazing!! Best one they've done so far and thats saying a lot considering how good the others already were. I was afraid there would be fewer illustrations because it's a larger book, but its actually got the same coverage as the first two. Also a huge plus is the way they handled the later parts of the books. Even though their artstyle is more on the light/goofy side which has helped perfectly capture the books' magical and whimsical aesthetic so far, they have managed to give a darker tone to the final chapters.

At 14:58, that was actually the part where Snape NEARLY killed Neville's toad Trevor all because he messed up. Which is obvious by the illustration of Trevor reverting back to a tadpole before Hermione put a stop to the whole thing. Definitely one of Snape's worst moments that shocked me and yell out "That's not okay!!😧" the first time I read it, and made me feel mixed on Snape's character, he's the definition of "I hate you, but i love you, but i hate you.." and made me mixed on him too.

I have a baby daughter, about 1 year old now. I'm buying these editions with the sole excuse of reading these books to her in a couple of years. Having said that i'm someone who came to Harry Potter via the movies (I was 6 when the first one came out) and I have pre-seted that aesthetic for the wizarding world, but if she enters via these books it would be quite a different experience to her when she watches the movies.
