Beautifully rebuilt old motors. Glad to see they're still getting the job done.

A co-worker took a pic of two Carolina Coastal locomotives in Raleigh today. Now I'm dying to photograph/video them but have no idea how to go about it? Doesn't matter that much anyway because unless they run on the weekend which I doubt, I'm going to be SOL. This is a great video, well done!

in gradients is common take notch 8,the train have the reversal force caused by the gravity.ans some cases is 70 tons(70000 kg) or more.the locos may gain to the reversal force to climb the gradient.

Do you know if these are being to stored on the main track between Knightdale and Raleigh?
@michaeljohnson74933 жыл бұрын
That's probably where they're headed. A line of coal hoppers like the ones in this video seem to be parked there, every time I go down 64 west and look to the right where the power lines cross the road between 440 and New Hope Road. I'm curious to know if they ever take away or add any cars to that line, and if so, how often. I've explored the line from Wilson to Raleigh and it looks like there's no business west/south of Zebulon. There are videos on KZbin of CLNA trains going through Knightdale, but they were filmed over a decade ago. Prior to CLNA taking over operations of the Raleigh-Plymouth line from NS in 2007, NS had stored an even longer line of TOFC cars on that same segment. That line of cars, no lie, ran from the New Bern Avenue overpass all the way nearly to the Hodge Road crossing. They were there probably for a couple of years, right up until CLNA took over. Before the state made upgrades to the North Carolina Railroad corridor from Raleigh to Morehead City around the 2000-2005 timeframe, the Raleigh-Chocowinity segment seen in this video handled the majority of NS's Eastern North Carolina traffic.
