Made me homesick for my Aunt's farm near Terre Haute Indiana... Homey decor, real folks, family fish fry. The kitchen window - Just like at Aunt Dix's house. I started lookin' for deer in her north field...So many things triggered memories. I have a similar long knife from my Dad, we had (have) melmac bowls like yours, love fried cabbage...All my elders are gone, lost my wife March 26, married almost 60 years, she was a farm girl from Nebraska... Your family made my day. Lord keep and bless you...

A word to Austin, Don't kid yourself Raw fish as in Sushi I ate lots of in British Columbia. Surprise I had 5 parasites in my intestines so no don't eat raw fish. Dr. Asked me if I was eating sushi, I said I can't get enough of it. He said to stop if it isn't frozen below -70 Celcius then don't eat it raw. The Doc said some people can live with 2 but I had 5 and that is what was causing problems in my gut. TAKE CARE your meal looked wonderful. Love you Guys and I care. Or I wouldn't tell you about raw fish. I used to think like you Austin until I got so sick that required a doctor's visit.

Can I ask you what the signs were that you weren’t feeling well that made you get looked at??
@patrickrwhite83547 ай бұрын
@@dhs2060 No problem. It was constant Loose Stools and uncontrollable every day and if you suspect something is wrong go for the Stool test and ask your doctor as parasites are not good for you. Most people can live with 3 but I had 5 and even when 3 you have the same symptoms. Hope this helped. Most restaurants think it is ok to sell sushi when the fish is fresh from the market and not previously frozen at -70 degrees F.

All of ye are torturing me with your delectable cooking. A fine job was made out of it. It was very kind of your Mother to run a plate over to the neighbor. At that moment I was wishing I was your neighbor. My Mother was the same way and our neighbor truly appreciated the kindness. A gesture of love and kindness will always come back in multiples at some point down the line. The Kerry Gold Butter is invaluable in the kitchen; it even travels well to restaurants with me on the rare occasion when I eat out.

Hi, how are you all doing. You all are lucky I don't live close, cause every day around supper time I would need something, like a cup of sugar, an onion or I would need to ask tipper something stupid. I know you all would ask me to stay to supper, I would act soooo surprised. Then I would help with the cleanup, and then play with Olive the wonder dog. Don't think I wouldn't do it; I have no shame when Tipper and Matt lay a table ooh, I think I drooled a little looking at that spread. God bless your family, and Olive baby.

For some reason, I woke up at 2:30 this morning and found my way downstairs. I proceeded to have a cup of coffee and watch this video. It made me hungry and homesick at the same time. I will always remember steaming & picking crabs with my family up on the Chesapeake Bay. My Grandmother had a beautiful property on Taylors Island with fruit trees and a wonderful garden. She had to give up the place in the early 70’s because it became too much work for her. She moved over into the town of Cambridge, which was a little closer to us, but was still 2 1/2 hours away. Our family would gather in the kitchen prepping fresh caught fish and crabs and other fixings and then the feast was on.! Watching your family interactions brought me to a joyful place and allowed me to fall back asleep feeling blessed. Now I’m up and soon to be headed to work with a renewed sense of where I came from. Wonderful parents and a wonderful legacy and being thankful to the Lord for all his blessings! Have a wonderful day!😁

This is one of my favorite videos from your family- watching it again. Everything on the menu looks awesome. I love seeing the family work together. I actually made the hush puppy corn bread several months ago and then again this past week. I don’t know if it was something about the name, but both times my collie helped himself to an entire cake of corn bread when I left it unattended after running in town to do an errand. I have also made my own variation of the hush puppy cornbread and added corn from the cob into the mix. Gives it a nice texture and flavor between the onion and the fresh corn.

We had a lake and mama and daddy would catch a mess of fish and clean them and would fry them in a black pot in the backyard. She'd make hush puppies and slaw. Now that's fresh fish. We only ate bream and shell crackers. We'd throw bass back in lake. Spoiled me forever over the kind of fish I prefer. Those were the best! Yes, you're supposed to crack eggs like you do Tipper. It prevents getting shell in bowl and bacteria.all chefs say do that.
