Liberal intellectuals and politicians are staunch critic of Ambedkar. Read their books before BJP rule. Followers of Ambedkar ideals were othered in Liberal leaning universities as it provided a different ideology for students of marginalised communities apart from socialism and liberalism. Postcolonial theories and subaltern voices are opposed by Liberal intellectuals. After BJP win in 2016, a sudden shift can be seen. Suddenly liberals started to care about Ambedkar ideals. There is a quote attributed to ambedkar which i don't know if he really said it that. "Do not idolize me if you don't believe in my ideas". Politicians and their respective followers in press are only interested in ambedkar for votes. If you really care about dalits make beneficial policies which doesn't come with a ton of red tape which never reach marginalised communities. Many BJP leaders don't like reservation policy, it's not a secret. But their devotion to good governance ensured that govt schemes reach marginalised. And thats why dalit supports BJP in Uttar Pradesh.

Well the BJP never has been a supporter of Ambedkar, so the oxymoron called “ right wing intellectuals “ has always been and continues to be against Ambedkar, as has been the case demonstrated by the Bhima Koregaon riots, and the subsequent so called “ Elgar parishad “ case

I have one question on One Nation and One election-Why developed countries don't have elections every year? Even in US, there are only 2 elections (one with National and another every 2 years)-for senator.. Anything wrong they (US etc.) too doing, that we typically try to consider as developed/role models?

You can’t stop an idea of which time has come. This is important. Currently there is an idea which is being embraced by India. You can’t stop. But it is important to keep ideological fire burning. Ideology should be kept alive so that the phoenix could rise again. In 1920s and 30s ppl wanted certain ideology, they had it , enjoyed and then suffered. Same was with Chinese in 1950s 1960s and 70s. Same with ussr during stalin. It is a cycle… hope we come out of this easily… else some will enjoy lot but rest will suffer…

DK, it is not as if there is absolutely no advantage in ONOE. Debatable. But one aspect is sure that political commentators and psephologists may not have any work for more than four years… right? Democracy is governance and not elections

Very good observation on textual ideological fight of rahul gandhi.Need to get out of populist stand on everything.Hindutva counter can be nationalist freedom struggle not jnu left.Similar on economy need to move closer to center to woo aspirational middle class. remind voters of rao and manmohan singh years as PM.But looks like too much to expect from feudal 1st family.

अगर CCTV का फुटेज नहीं आ रहा है इसका मतलब क्या निकाला जाना चाहिए। अगर BJP का Version सही है तो फिर CCTV रिलीज जरूर होता।
