The fact that the Professional played the entire length of the foundry in one sitting is a good thing. It had a lot of plot points that brought the story together and made Max realize that the attack on his house was not accidental, but was targeted. If the Professional had taken a break in this playthrough, he would have missed out on some important plot continuity. Also, the fact that Max is shown as killing his own character and shooting his wife (the scream off-screen) is actually Max's survivor's guilt. He blames himself so much for the loss of his wife and daughter, that he feels that he killed them, and feels that he should also die to atone for this. I know this sounds messed up, but Max's inner agony was the fuel that drove him to this vendetta, and in a tragic sense of irony, saved him from the insanity and lethal effects of Valkyr. PS: It is a good thing you saved up some ammo on the sniper and Colt Commando. The next level has a fair few long-range shooting work, combined with some intense CQB. Also, this is the point where the villains level up in their aggression, lobbing grenades left, right, and center, so be alert from now on.

That is something when the desire for revenge is so strong that it saves you from overdosing or going insane. I don't know if you ever saw the movie adaptation, but the biggest difference between that and the game (and spoiler alert just in case)... Is that in the movie, Max willingly takes Valkyr to save himself from dying from hypothermia, and similarly to the game, his desire for vengeance keeps him from going insane from the drug.

I always wondered what that part was truly about! Thanks to your comment, it finally makes sense to me now! The person Max was in 1998 died alongside his family, and all that was left was the cynical, leather coat-wearing Max we play as thru the whole game.

I always thought that the reason why max gets the nightmare of him killing himself was because his wife stole the dossier from the secret agency,and showed it to max then when they found out they decided to hire junkies to kill her while max was at work

It's such a great game. It makes the movie feel like even more of a kick in the teeth when you rewatch the story in the game unfold and compare it to the film they eventually made.

Just a quick note, The Killer Suits are really just Arnold Schwarzenegger Fanboys, They watched Commando, Collateral, The Terminator and The Terminator: Judgement Day, Their Combat Lines are pretty similar to Hunter Killer, They're Basically Corporate Security Mercs Who are big fans of Schwarzenegger.

No worries about having difficulty in Cold Steel; I did too, especially when I couldn't figure out how to get out of the decontamination room when I played this game years and years ago(I kept dying because I couldn't figure out how to get past the door)

Another great playthrough. When you mention the shotgun enemies yes they can be a pain. Especially on Hard Boiled difficulty and Dead on Arrival difficulty. Kind of gives me Leone shotgun vibes from GTA 3.

Love the videos as always professional, also its weird for me to see the creepy level again, cause when I first played it, I was super on edge but I played it again one late night at around I think 11 getting to 12 (witching hour) and be mindful this was on Halloween night and I was by myself in a dark basement playing on an old ps2, and I was actually SUPER high meaning I had ate like 2 50 gram edibles which was bad for me. Cause never touched anything weed related or drugs period so this was a first time for me then, after about 2 hours I get to the level and they started to kick in so shit got weird quick hearing the baby crying along with maxs wife crying and screaming with my world going blur and swirling. Yeah it was not a good idea to do drugs and play scary parts of games kids cause I thought I was being hunted, I was hearing shit all around me so I was freaking out quite a bit but I then just turned off the game somehow with the state I was in and after I'd woken up I spent the next two minutes of my time remembering everything I did last night while pukeing up my dinner. Funny thing again is that nobody told me that there was a legit warning that states first time users shouldn't do 50gs xD Anyway, keep up the quality videos buddy!!
