I had a love for horses from a young age & and married someone who also had a desire to have horses. We budgeted & saved for 20 years & bought our 10 acre horse farm at age 50. While it would have been easier when we were younger to do all the farm chores & keep the property maintained, we wouldn't change a thing. If you are "older" & think it's too late, maybe it's not. If you want it bad enough, you WILL find a way. We have 4 horses of our own & 2 more we are helping our neice care for. The view from our back patio & also from our front porch is horses grazing, so relaxing & such a blessing.

Wonderful video. I loved horses dearly as a child but my family never had the means to do more than a couple lessons. I was always told, "horses are too expensive. You're a kid from the city, horses are for people with land and farms." Fast forward to me pushing 40 with a family of my own. I started horseback riding lessons again and last summer I was able to purchase two lovely mares. I hit the trails as often as I can. If I could talk to my 5-year-old self, I would tell her to be patient, work hard, and you will make your dream happen.

What a absolute joy to watch, i was riding by a very young age, and was born with horse fever in my blood, these Mustangs, and there wonderful trainers prove how amazing Mustangs are, by only having 120 days to train a completely unhandled horse, proving Mustangs can be trained to the same level of consistency as any other breed of horses. . . . . these Mustangs are so intelligent, they can do anything, a papered purebred horse can be trained to do, and probably alot quicker

What an underdog moment and so well deserved. It really shows how strong the relationship between this man and horse is and maybe they were so close because he really knows how it feels to be in a new place learning something you've never done before and he had the patience to try and build trust and confidence in his horse and not rush things. It showed in all parts of the competition that they really worked as a team the entire time.

I know that having a wild mustang is outside my skill set & my physical capabilities due to being in my late 50's & having chronic neck & shoulder pain, but it seems so rewarding. You keep up the good work. My neice was told that the horse she bought was a mustang. It doesn't have a freeze brand. She was told that her horse was originally sold straight to a private owner so no freeze brand was done. Does this sound right? I didn't grow up with horses, but now have 4 of my own & 2 of my niece's on my land. How could she know for sure without any paperwork. She snatched the horse up before the kill buyers were called to pick up the horse.

I grew up loving horses. From a toddler at 3 years old willing to just walk straight up to a horse almost 16 hands, no fear. I never owned one myself. I only competed a short time my senior year, barrel racing. I never got to ride again after my senior year. Not for lack of wanting to. Now, I fear my body has chosen that it can not be a part of my life ever again. 😢 I have missed it for over 30 years. I see a horse and feel like a part of me is drawn away. So beautiful🎉❤🎉😢

❤🎉 Thank you for bringing us this video Britta!! 😊 I have a question: I really love Mustangs but all these are exceptional beauties -- do all the Mustang choices look this good, or are the trainers already choosing from a higher caliber of Mustang..? I mean are they preselected as some of the better Mustangs, standing apart from the rest?? They just all are so stunning, simply breathtaking in my opinion... Maybe I missed any videos where you have discussed this .. 🤔 Anyway thanks again for showing it to us!! 😊❤️⭐😍🐎🎥🐴

Awesome jobs by all!!! Horses relaxed and healthy and well treated. Just a couple of suggestions, as a 100 pound woman who trained many wild caught Mustangs, along with 30 + more breeds of horses. Please, take off the spurs, those of you using them. They hurt your horse. A horse can feel a fly land on it and responds by tail swishing, skin shaking, etc., so if a horse feels and responds to a fly, why use spurs? I know, you get a faster response that way, which is my second complaint.....this is too much to demand of a horse in 120 days. The horses did great, thw trainers/riders are all good, but, ALWAYS let the horse set the pace for learning. Maybe a horse, a truly great horse, needed 121 days, then what?

Im confused as to what exactly a mustang is. I thought it was completely untouched horses but i noticed that at least one of those mustangs in the pen had a neck brand. How can a horse that’s branded be an unhandled one?? Im not being facetious i genuinely dont understand.
@1millionpumpkins5427 ай бұрын
They're branded when rounded up by the BLM. It is a permanent ID on a registry so the horse's age and origin can be tracked. There are strict rules about transferring ownership and housing of mustangs as well. 😊
