Cate Campbell is shockingly brave and courageous, when you remember the hate that many have had from the anti-biological-women's lobby masogenists, she is a magnificent woman is Cate, Cate Campbell is super and a hero, magnificent human. We should love trans, but only biological women should be in women's sports.

Even having this topic to debate over is degenerated, old time Chinese ancient time banned most woman from sports, women are soft fleshed, time wasting to having them doing sports as they can be easily replaced by man of male. Degenerated mandkind even after over 1,000 years of traditions. So sick and degenerated generations of today!

Common sense has prevailed. It is not all about the feelings of trans women, it's also about the feelings of biological women - they matter too! No one is saying trans women cannot swim or compete, just not against biological women at elite level where they can take away Olympic chances from biological women. If they have gone through male puberty it's grossly unfair to compete against biological women,. Inclusion and fairness are not necessarily the same thing and that's just how the world is.

Elite sports are not meant to be inclusionary. If they were, they wouldn't be elite sports. It's unfair for biological men to compete with biological women in the same event. Period. With or without hormones, biological males still retain their physiological advantages over females, especially if they have already gone through puberty. TL:DR I agree with you.

Thank god for it, otherwise we would be living like north korea. At 12 years old a boy is already stronger than ALL OF THE WOMEN IN HIS FAMILY AND COMMUNITY, this is consistent with ALL PRESENT AND HISTORICAL CULTURES. We have the same rights and that is it.

This is the argument in a nutshell and it doesn't come any easier than this. If you don't understand why trans-women shouldn't compete against biologically born women then you should also be offended by the fact that there is a separate women's division to begin with. If you genuinely believe that it doesn't matter then just scrap all women's divisions and have everyone compete equally.

From the Vice Chairman The critical point here is the influence of male puberty. I would respectfully suggest that the transgender community look at the research, and the figures are unequivocally clear in the advantage young males have over mature women in sport.

Unfortunately like all centralized policy making processes the majority of the stakeholders who are most affected by the policy we're left out of the room. Shame on Cate Campbell and the other stakeholders for not recognizing this and trying to justify their exclusive policy making process as being inclusive. It's not. This has nothing to do with science or evidence, it's about people or community. Try using a decentralized policy making process next time and see how well you go then. !DA

Pardon my ignorance, and if I’m wrong, somebody please correct me, why don’t we as a society start promoting transgender sports. In the Olympics as Wellers in society, more widely, you could have categories where transgender women compete against other transgender women and categories where transgender men compete against other transgender men. I know it’s a novel idea, but it’s one that might solve the problem. and make it more inclusive. It would put an end. to this debate once, and for all hopefully although I have been known to be wrong, it’s just an idea🤔

I understand Cates arguments but it seemed weird that she is arguing to exclude transwomen at the elite level and also arguing that at the college and community level she argues for their inclusion. Why? If her level like she said has a really small percentage of the population it means that is should have an even smaller number of transfolks, would that be an argument to include transfolks at her level also? Her point here seems inconsistent and does not appear to following a logical conclusion

Maybe start letting teens get HRT so “biological advantage” stops being a thing. I just can’t believe theres hateful people out there that make it this hard to live. We are all supposed to be equal, so what gives you extremists some kind of advantage over us? Start letting kids choose for themselves and stop abusing them.

I've had pcos since I was 16 and 20 years later have never had hrt unless I paid out of pocket. I have had one precancerous mass removed from my cervix on top of 3 rounds of severely painful biopsies. Done having kids. Several messed up hormones. Literally inverted estrogen and testosterone. And they refuse to give me a hysterectomy until the cancer becomes invasive. But if I wanted to be a man medicaid would pay for a hysterectomy and hrt in my state. Who is being discriminated against?

Children aren't mature enough to make these sorts of life-altering decisions. It's not about abuse, it's about safety and wisdom. We don't have enough long term evidence that these hormones and even puberty blockers are safe for children. There is evidence of long term bone damage and possible effects on the brain from puberty blockers. The science is emerging, and will continue to do so. And while there are some truly trans children, there are also many more that will do anything, including change their bodies, for attention, approval, and belonging to a group. At that age, they are too vulnerable to outside influences and their prefrontal cortexes are not fully developed (decision making center in the brain). It must wait until they are of legal age (18) to be safe.
