I believe that the performance comparisons with the 5070 and the 4090 are related to the new Frame gen, I e. It's the frame gen FPS performance as opposed to the native performance, in that respect I feel Nvidia are being misleading. So please don't buy the 5070 thinking you're going to get 4090 performance, especially with latency

Definitely was disappointed with the lack of white 5090 cards. Will be holding off for now, but I hope we get some nice looking ones soon. The MSI Gaming Trio 5080 is really cool looking though!

Seems like it's only the Founder's Edition 5090 that's surprisingly smol. The classic array of MSI, Gigabyte, Asus and the like tho...those look MASSIVE

I'll more than likely to upgrading to a 9950X3D this year and since it'll be my first AM5, I'll need a new motherboard and DDR5 as well, so an expensive upgrade list. We'll see about a 5080/90.

It'll be mostly because of DLSS 4 no doubt. And tbf that's no different to how they've marketed before.

I am almost ready to start a new build. I had a Z790A motherboard and a 14900K ready to go in it, but after having two 13900K's die in my other system within 6 months I ended up getting an X870A motherboard and a 9800x3D. Intel are toast as far as I am concerned. I just need a GPU now. I think MSI and Gigabyte will have Trio and Aero models in white, but I will try and get a Gigabyte Aorus Master Ice 5090. My build hinges on this, so I am dreading having to battle it out to get one. :(

if amds 9070xt is in par with the rtx 4080super which claims, depending on the cost it still may be a small winner for amd. but futher talks that rdna4 announcement (rumour) will be jan 15th.
