Your channel is really good! Stumbled on it searching for DIY guitar pedal stuff. There is a really cheap (temporary, it requires a lot of exercise) solution to the vacuum pump problem. Go to Harbor Freight and get one of their $8 hand "transfer pumps". Typically, it's for changing oil in hard to reach places, but I've tried it as a vacuum pump to bleed my hydraulic clutch in a pinch, and it did a perfect job! It would probably take a WHILE to pump down a chamber that big, but oomoo isn't fast setting! I've pumped down a quart Mason jar with it to degas epoxy also, and it worked great. HTH

I might use some UV resin to glue the two halves back together. maybe even with a little coloring to play up the vein. there may still be life left in it yet!

As aircraft modeller I could suggest vibrations to eliminate bubbles and/or a vacuum box. Anyway I do not like epoxy resin, too toxic. At least that resin I can buy in Italy. Ciao
