A few years ago there was a literal unbranded tablet whuch came with a keyboard case for approximately $40 that used to turn up on ebay and amazon. They were surprisingly good for the price. As long as you weren't trying to game on it and didn't card about camera quality. But for a cheap streaming device to carry with you it was pretty good. I used to gift them to people and bought 2 for travelling etc. The first one I broke. The second one lasted for years but eventually became redundant as I moved onto other devices. Always root and delete any apps you think sound suspicious. Run an antivirus on them afterward and unroot (if possible)

$40 with a keyboard sounds like a steal. As long as performance was about the same as the one in the video, it would be sufficient for school

Yeah, don't confuse people, there is no such a thing as separate vram for tablets, it's all unified memory, so it's either has 4Gb or 8Gb, not 4Gb ram and 4Gb gpu ram. I guess it's 4Gb total after all. Maybe if you look it from this point: CPU has access to 4Gb ram and GPU has access to 4Gb ram then, BUT THIS 4GB IS SAME RAM.

Yea you're right but you seem like a pretentious douche when you can't easily decipher that he meant virtual ram, which your tablet and phone already do. Say I have 4 gigs of ram, android might let me swap up to 10 gigs of my storage over to the swap partition, then treat that ten gigs like slow ram

The usage of RAM from the internal storage is detrimental for most phones based on the reviews I read. I think only Samsung phones got higher or better benchmarks with RAM Plus on, compared to Realme, Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi, Infinix, etc.

I am not sure I was expecting the review for a 60 buck tablet being so harsh lol. It's a 60 buck tablet, it's going to be garbage. Buy it for your young kid who you know is going to beat it up or buy as a cheap color ereader.

If this thing were ungoogled I'd set it up as a dedicated reading device. (I'm legally blind), but since it comes spyware included I'll wind up spending more on a device than this.

Off brand and cheap, I'll be afraid it's massive spyware. At least you can sue big companies if they're spyware, no recourse for malware with off brand.

Easy recorse with cheap spyware tablets. These companies do not care enough to lock a bootloader. Just flash the leafOS GSI

@Kiahona true, but if you're not set up with JTAG, there's a chance it'd be bricked, especially those on budget who probably aren't familiar with flashing process. Then it ends up costing more than just getting brand name to begin with.
