Those two people standing there silently watching just adds so much to the video honestly

Why is it important to you?
@fairestlotus2 күн бұрын
@everythingisfake7555 put simply, 2 years when I saw this I had a very myopic understanding of technology and its future, alongside its potential. I did, however, deeply understand how data collection and analysis worked. I saw this and kind of understood everything at once. ------------ In my opinion, what I saw here was processing swaths of data on a microbial scale and looking for patterns in increasingly dense samples, either of the world itself, or the Oort Cloud (cooler in my head). It could be interpreted as a large-scale effort to discover other human beings. At that point, a claim can be made that the artistic metaphor in this is the primal need to connect with others made into a digitally industrialized force. It's invasive, relentless and efficient. It is the framework of the human mind immortalized. It left an effect on me, and I got into cybersecurity, Linux and all, soon after. My love for technology after this video somewhat alienated me from people, but I've since found a good network. I'm happy someone asked the question. Never thought anyone would. Although, had you asked it back then, I probably wouldn't have had the answer so soon. I just knew something was changing.

@@fairestlotus You’ve had to reduce your well written response to something completely generic and vague now 😔, argh - I hate it when I cannot understand others, but I had to be honest. Peace be with you.

Wouldn't it be nice to know what is going on here? It's visually intriguing and there must be some generating strategy for the beautiful imagery on that wall. Who is the artist and where is he/she from? how are the images produced?

hahahahahahahhahaha Ryoji Ikeda from japan - images in sync with music .....
@kmal163 жыл бұрын
He lives in Paris, as far as I know. He's lived and worked there for a long time. His music is rooted in electronic minimalism, although that term might not be appropriate. But he, and Alva Noto who has worked with composer/pianist Ryuichi Sakamoto, Richard Cartier and Taylor Dupree took the minimalistic aspects of electronic music, ambient and drone to new directions in the early 2000's and have continued in that trajectory ever since. A big inspiration to many ambient and electronic artists. Ryoji Ikeda's interviews are quite interesting as he speaks on the tying of the human element with the computerized medium, which is essential to his work and is able to creatively articulate some of nature's inner complexities. His visual work in person, I've only heard is a very unique experience to be immersed in.

@@rr7firefly You're more than welcome. It was my pleasure. Ryoji's work was in the beginning just a mere curious interest which gradually evolved into becoming a fan of his work. You would also really enjoy Alva Noto's work with pianist composer Ryuichi Sakamoto (David Byrne, David Sylvian, The Revenant film). Cheers and have a great end of weekend.
