I am a silent viewer from South Africa ~ My time is precious and you always add to it when I enter this cyber sphere, my life is more sparkly to explore after one of your videos, the hue turned up all around me and I am totally charged creatively. You’re right that it’s important to hold onto your artistic vision and not let yourself be knocked by the views of others, because they are just that, views. Also I agree that your work in showing other young artists doesn’t and shouldn’t appeal only to upcoming new young artists. I’m not, and I’m sure plenty of your audience aren’t but we want to be inspired in discovering new art, whether for ideas or just for enjoyment. Thankfully the world isn’t as small as that guy thinks.

So important that you got to detach yourself from the opinion of some speakers/teachers. I studied Fine Arts (5 years master) and honestly it completely killed my creativity, I stopped painting for years, and it’s only now, a decade later, that I realize academia in France is 90% having your perspective pushed through the very narrow filter of an older white man. With everything that it implies. I wish I knew that when I started.
